🌹 🌺 Flowering Hauxley 🌺 🌹
As summer arrives, the planters and wildflower areas around Hauxley are beginning to burst into life. At this time of year, it’s wonderful to sit back and enjoy the results of all the hard work put in by our volunteers.
The buzz of bees, the swooping swallows, and the butterflies dancing among the dune meadows are constant reminders of just how special our villages are.
Unfortunately, the wildflower meadow seeded by volunteers at the Kirkwell footpath access has recently been strimmed and possibly sprayed. We know this was not carried out by the council’s grounds maintenance team, so it remains a mystery and is a great disappointment. We hope the newly planted hedge and bulbs have not been affected, and we will reseed the area in due course.
Our villages are full of colour and flowers, and we would like to thank everyone who helps care for and enhance our community. Your efforts make a real difference and are greatly appreciated.
