Kids back at school?

Good news, September is one of the quietest, and best times to visit. No queues, no crowds, just you, the hills and whatever the deer are up to.

Perfect for a couple's day out or a bit of time to yourself πŸ’š share and tag with someone you’d like to enjoy with below πŸ‘‡

3rd September - Autumn Equinox

Today's the Autumn Equinox when the day and night are as close to equal as they get, all year.

It also means darkness is creeping in earlier, which is good news if you enjoy an evening under the stars. Sunset stargazing season is well and truly here. For more details or to book your Stargazing Experience visit https://ingramvalley.co.uk/ingram-valley-safari/

Hello, September πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚

This might be our favourite month and here's why:

the summer crowds have gone home
the light's turned soft and golden, and the whole valley's shifting colour by the day.

Here's what's on:

β€’ Northumberland doing what it does best - barley harvest under big skies, dust catching the evening sun

β€’ Astronomy Evenings with Dr Adrian Jannetta FRAS run every Saturday and Sunday - spaces are limited

β€’ Our stags are starting to warm up their voices ahead of the rut

β€’ Swallows are packing their bags for Africa

β€’ The Autumn Equinox lands on the 23rd
Quieter countryside, better light, same brilliant history. Come and see it for yourself. Whats your plans this September let us know in the comments!

Visit www.ingramvalleysafari.co.uk for more details on what’s on and to book a Safari experience

Fancy something a bit rarer than the usual grey squirrel? Northumberland is one of the last strongholds for red squirrels in England, and you've got a decent chance at spotting one nearby Holystone Wood, Harwood Forest, Wooler Common and our very own Ingram Valley Safaris Early morning is a good time, when they're out feeding.

Have you ever seen one?
They're smaller and quicker than you'd think.

It's National Relaxation Day. πŸ’š

Not every visit needs to be action packed. Sometimes the best thing you can do is find a quiet spot in the valley, sit down, and watch the Cheviot Hills and do absolutely nothing at all, just relax.
How do you switch off and reset?
