As we look ahead to International Women’s Day, we are reviewing how we can best support:

Resilience: Building confidence and skills.
Wellbeing: Focusing on mental and physical health.
Safety: Tackling the root causes of crisis and homelessness.

Transformation isn't a one-day event, it's about building an environment where every woman and girl has the opportunity to flourish.

We are proud to be working alongside our fantastic Community Voice panel members, Clackmannanshire Council, The Hunter Foundation, and Foundation Scotland to drive community-led change across our local communities.

By breaking down barriers between budgets, we make sure every pound makes the biggest possible difference.

The Wee County is making big waves 🌊

From 60 Community Voice members, to thousands of views on Facebook and over a million pounds transferred into the Transformation Space since inception, momentum is growing every day.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shared a post, joined a meeting, or submitted an application. Together, we are ensuring Clackmannanshire is leading the way in creating lasting change in the community.

📣 Clackmannanshire Transformation Space - from idea to delivery 📣

Our bold new approach is designed to put local people in control of public and partner funds to deliver improved outcomes for our community.

Here are a few key highlights from our journey to date ⏩

A new model: We are focused on eliminating siloed funding and moving from a 'Welfare State' to a 'Wellbeing & Enabling State'.

The Community Voice: Over 50 local residents have been recruited to form the Community Voice Panel , setting the priorities for funding.

The Fund: We successfully raised £1.34 million so far for the Transformation Space.

Action Areas: The panel is already focused on tackling the prevention of homelessness and improving mental health provision for younger people.

New Homes Week 🏠

In Clackmannanshire, we believe a home is more than a roof - it’s the foundation for wellbeing.

We're thrilled to share news of our next round of funding of £96,080, which will be shared between five organisations to help deliver early intervention and resilience-building programmes for children and young people in our community.

The funded projects include:

🫴 The Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH)’s Stronger Minds, Brighter Futures programme, which will receive £42,875 for one year of whole-school, early intervention work focused on mental health literacy and capacity building.

🫴 Time 4 Us Forth Valley: Harm Prevention project, awarded £25,954 to deliver early, community-based harm prevention and resilience support for vulnerable young people.

🫴 Barnardo's Little Roots programme, which will receive £13,504 over three years (2026–2028) for early-years emotional support and family wellbeing services.

🫴 Recyke-a-bike's Beyond Four Walls project, granted £10,057 for a year of outdoor activities designed to improve resilience, confidence, and emotional regulation in young people.

🫴 Arts Included CIC, which will receive £3,690 to deliver Groove Grove Guitar Sessions, a six-week programme focused on creative engagement and confidence-building.

On Brew Monday, we’re joining the Samaritans to remind everyone to reach out for a cuppa and a catch-up with the people you care about.

Taking ten minutes to have a brew and a chat with a neighbor can be a powerful act of prevention. When we strengthen our local connections, we build a more resilient "wee county".
