Clackmannanshire Works is a local employability service designed to help people living in Clackmannanshire who are looking to get into work or progress in employment, as well as assist local businesses to develop and support local people with jobs and training. Established in 2008, Clackmannanshire Works has provided support to thousands of local people between the ages of 16 and 67 years old. The

y include school leavers looking for work experience or apprenticeships, unemployed adults of working age who need support to overcome a range of barriers to employment, and parents who need to increase their income either through supporting them into work or increasing their wages and/or hours. We offer one to one support from a team of trained Key Workers, who will assess where you are in the job market, where would you like to be and help plan how we can help you get there. Our Key Workers cover all areas of Clackmannanshire and will meet with you in community settings which are convenient to where you live. We also have a Job Broker who works closely with our Key Workers to help find voluntary work, work experience and paid employment with local employers and help prepare you to take up these opportunities. Together, they will give practical help supporting you to create a professional CV and help with interview techniques, communication skills and personal presentation. The support offered is tailored to meet your individual needs and also includes:

• Specialist money and benefits advice
• Basic IT skills
• Help with building confidence and self-esteem
• Access to certificated training including industry specific qualifications
• Advice on career options to suit your skills, strengths and interests
• Help with travel costs to attend training and job interviews
• Help with clothes for interview or starting a job
• Support to find affordable and flexible childcare and access to short-term financial help with childcare costs
