Recognising Excellence in Alfreton Town Council’s Officer Team
Alfreton Town Council wishes to take the opportunity particularly in light of recent activity to highlight and celebrate the exceptional professionalism and qualifications of its officer team as we approach National Clerk Week.
Alfreton is fortunate to be supported by what is widely recognised as one of the most highly qualified officer teams in Derbyshire. This includes the only registered officer in the county to have attained Level 5 Community Governance through the SLCC, alongside both the Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer holding Level 4 and CiLCA qualifications. Our newest team member has already begun her CiLCA training, demonstrating the continued commitment to professional development that underpins the Council’s operations, officers dedicate much of their own time to their qualifications.
Alfreton Town Council has never failed an audit—a record that reflects the consistency, diligence and integrity of its officers. This strong governance record has continued seamlessly under the current RFO.
At a time when the sector nationally is facing increasing pressures, Alfreton’s officers continue to deliver high‑quality, compliant and accountable services for the community. With an ever changing and challenging landscape, the Officers expertise is valued more than ever.
