Alford Manor House and Museum of Rural Life Visit Alford Manor House ,a grade 2* thatched Manor House built in 1611. It is available to hire for Weddings ,Funeral teas, private functions etc.

With its beautiful walled garden, tearooms, exhibitions , Museum of Rural Life and programme of events. Sit in our beautiful walled garden, discover interesting local stories and artefacts, see our vintage machinery collection and hear about local life on the land, there is so much to do at Alford Manor House. We are also available for hire as a Wedding Venue and for private parties. ,

Thank you to all our visitors who joined us today to watch the Tour of Britain Cycle Race 2026. It was a very special occasion to share with so many.

We were especially delighted to be joined by year 6 pupils from Alford Primary School who gave a very enthusiastic welcome to the cylists.

We look forward to you joining us for the Tractor Run and Threshing Day.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TEAROOM WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER.

The Tractors will start to arrive at the Manor House from 8.30 am onwards giving enthusiasts the time to look at these beautiful machines. There is an estimated departure time of 9am depending on how well these vintage tractors behave! They will then make their way to Farmer Browns.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and attended the last Pantaloons performance of the Summer. Some of you also managed to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse!

We are already looking forward to The Pantaloons next performance in December 2026.

Additional thanks are also due to all of the Alford Manor House and Museum of Rural Life volunteers who have helped at all of the performances. We are especially grateful to our volunteer Gordon who arranges for The Pantaloons to come to us and attends to the overall management on the night. You are all amazing!!
