Corporal Bradley, AAPTI at AFC (H), took on an incredible challenge this weekend by completing a tough Mudder event while carrying an additional 10kg of body armour. Pushing through the demanding course, he raised an impressive £1,146 for the Army Benevolent Fund, an outstanding 113% of his original target. His determination and commitment not only tested his physical endurance but also made a significant contribution to supporting our Army community. Well done, Corporal Bradley!

Corps SM Update - Cateran Yomp 2026

2 teams from the ASPT with other members of the RAPTC poached in for assistance took part in this years Yomp. A gruelling 54 mile event that tested every element of personal and collective resilience. Both teams completed the event and received gold distinction medals. Blisters, knee, back, ankle pain followed and the team headed back to Aldershot with pride, stiff as a brick and minus the odd toe nail!!

A huge shout out to Chic Wilkinson who supported the teams at every step of the way, navigating through the pitch black after being on the go for 17 hours, we were guided to the checkpoint by the Corps March being blasted out and huge encouragement from Chic and his team, an uplifting moment which really helped the teams.

There was also time afforded for Chic to speak to the current Senior course on their journey and give his reflections on the Corps and his service, a valuable insight for all involved. A space where serving meets association, which creates family 🔴⚫️⚔️

Thank you to Charlotte, the ASPT Chief Clerk for organising and thank you all for the memories 💪🏻👍🏻

In what we believe to be a first for the Corps, a former member of the RAPTC has be sworn in as a member of the King’s Bodyguard of the Yeoman of the Guard.

Former WO2 (QMSI) Aaran (Eddie) Eade was sworn in as a member of the King’s Bodyguard on Fri 8 May 26 and conducted his first duty at the King’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace the very same day.

You can learn more about Aaran’s story when this year’s Corps Journal is published in September, or you can learn more about the King’s Bodyguard at the following webpage https://www.yeomenoftheguard.co.uk/

A fantastic personal achievement and on behalf of the entire Corps family, we are immensely proud of your achievement - well done Aaran 🔴⚫️⚔️

ACRRS RD 3 BATH WED 27 MAY 26

The RAPTC Velo Apostles took on the fast and technical Odd Down circuit today in one of the toughest race days of the series so far. With temperatures reaching 29°C, the flowing course and tight hairpins at either end of the circuit created a constant technical challenge throughout the racing.

Nine Apostles lined up across the races and dug deep through relentless heat and mechanical setbacks across the day.

Strong performances on the day included:

* WO1 Pyburn — battling to an impressive 4th place in the B Race
* SSgt Chennell — strong ride in a stacked A Race field, finishing 7th overall

The conditions turned the racing into a true survival contest, with every rider pushed to their limits lap after lap. Despite adversity throughout the day, the team continued to fight for positions and represent the RAPTC jersey with pride.

Another gritty day of Army racing for the Apostles — showing resilience, determination and teamwork in difficult conditions.
