"Throughout October, our children have been learning about inspiring Black artists, scientists, sporting heroes, musicians, writers and changemakers.

From exploring powerful stories to creating their own artwork and sharing ideas, every year group has discovered something new about the people and achievements that have helped shape our world.

We are so proud of our children’s enthusiasm, curiosity, creativity and discussion.

A massive well done to all the children who took part in our fantastic Family Dynamo Pumpkin Making Competition! It was wonderful to see so much creativity, imagination and effort put into the pumpkins. Miss Johnston announced the winners during Friday morning’s assembly, and a huge congratulations goes to all our winners! A big thank you to all our families for supporting this brilliant house competition and helping to make it such a success!

On Tuesday, Year 5 took part in a brilliant Wonderdome workshop. Immersed inside the mobile planetarium, the children felt as though they were travelling through space. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their existing knowledge while discovering exciting new facts about the universe.

This Friday we will be wearing yellow for Hello Yellow Day. Children are invited to wear a yellow accessory or piece of clothing along with their usual school uniform.
