When Lila* felt like her life was happening somewhere else, advocacy helped her find ways to express what she wanted, be listened to, and have a real say in decisions about her future.

From a “Happy Place” sheet and a hand drawn map, to a video made on her phone, Lila found ways to share what mattered to her.

And ultimately, she went home.

Advocacy is about more than words.
