Our Jubilee Garden Party was a great success yesterday, even though we had to move the party inside to avoid the rain. With a delicious buffet, amazing entertainment, and speeches from the Deputy Mayor, Becky our CEO, one of our trustee's Brian, and a couple of carers.

This year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary of supporting unpaid carers across East Lancashire, and what better time to celebrate than during Carers Week which this year is all about building carer friendly communities. Our café and community hub certainly showed that in practice yesterday!

Congratulations to everyone who won a prize in our Giant Jubilee Prize Draw, we will be in touch with the winners early next week.

Wow! Amazing news to find out we won the Social Media Champion award at the 2026 Hyndburn Business Awards Hyndburn Business Awards held last night. Our team enjoyed a great evening at the award ceremony and congratulations to all of the winners, and organisations and people nominated.

We won't let the rain stop our fun for Carers Week! We've just moved the party inside to our cafe and hub area.

We've decorated with ballons, and bunting, and we're busy setting up the buffet and entertainment for our 11:30am start.

Online sales for our Giant Jubilee Prize Draw are now closed, but you can still purchase tickets at our Accrington charity shop. We will be drawing the winning tickets at around 2pm, so this is your last opportunity to be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes!

For our third Carers Week activity of the week we visited The Gathering Fields for a wonderfully relaxing Sound bath experience.

We received the following fantastic feedback:

"Very welcoming environment. The introduction to the sound bath was interesting and overall a very relaxing experience in a lovely location. A much needed escape from everyday life stresses".
