Historic Victory for Wales and the UK Economy

Today, Parliament voted in favour of a UK–EU customs union, a historic win for the Liberal Democrats and Welsh businesses.

David Chadwick MP said: "Today was a historic victory for the Liberal Democrats, a chance to end the economic nightmare of the Conservatives’ and Nigel Farage’s Brexit deal. A customs union with the EU is the single biggest step to grow our economy, put money back in people’s pockets and support our public services. The Prime Minister must now listen."

This vote sets a crucial precedent for stronger trade, fairer growth, and a brighter future for Wales.
