Gwrych Castle is an enchanting gothic ruin on the picturesque North Wales coastline. for two consecutive years.

The official Facebook for Gwrych Castle, one of the most recognisable attractions in the UK due to hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! As is the case with many TV productions filmed on location, built sets are usually removed once filming has finished. However, a few elements from the show have been retained and we have an I'm A Celebrity exhibition for true fans to enjoy! The big event this week is our Horror Theatre Nights at Gwrych Castle.

🔨 GUIDED HISTORY TOURS

Tickets will be released this week for guided history tours taking place next weekend, led by a member of the team involved in the Castle’s major restoration.

Hear the story of Gwrych, explore its history and find out more about the restoration now taking place.

🏰 RESTORATION UPDATE: WE’VE REACHED ROOF HEIGHT!

A major milestone has been reached in the restoration of Gwrych Castle.

As of today, the Castle Core and East Wing are now up to roof height, with all of the new floors in place.

The next stage will see work begin on rebuilding the wall tops ready for the new roof, alongside the reconstruction of the Central Keep.

The Keep was one of the defining features of Gwrych Castle before it collapsed in 2003. More than two decades later, it is finally going to rise again.

Over the next 12 months, the transformation will become even more dramatic as the roof is rebuilt and the Keep rises back above the castle walls.

There is still a huge amount of work ahead, but every stone, floor and section of wall takes us closer to securing Gwrych Castle for future generations.

Join us for an intimate evening of live stand-up inside Gwrych Castle with Brennan Reece, Rachel Baker and Matt Richardson.

There’s just one performance at 7pm, followed by an exclusive after-hours restoration update and atmospheric tour of the castle as darkness falls.

🏰 WHAT A SUMMER AT GWRYCH CASTLE! 🏰

The summer holidays are officially over — and what a summer it has been!

Yesterday’s Eira Festival was the spectacular finale to an unforgettable season of family adventures, magical characters, medieval mayhem, live entertainment and incredible days at the Castle.

A HUGE thank you to all our wonderful visitors, volunteers and staff who helped make this summer so special. Your support, hard work and enthusiasm mean the world to us ❤️

But don’t worry — Gwrych Castle’s season is far from over! 👀

We have an action-packed September ahead, and the Castle remains open to the public, giving you the chance to explore the Castle and grounds at your leisure.

We’re also excited to announce that hard-hat guided tours will be starting soon, offering a unique opportunity to discover more about the Castle’s history and ongoing restoration.

🏰 CASTLE CLOSED TOMORROW – HOUSE OF EIRA TAKES OVER! 🎶

A quick reminder that Gwrych Castle will be closed to general visitors tomorrow, Saturday 5th September, as we hand over the castle for the return of House of Eira – Castle Take-Over Part II! 🎧🏰

The castle will come alive for 10 hours of house, techno, UKG and DnB, with DJs, entertainment and more areas of Gwrych open to explore as part of the festival.
