Everyone probably knows by now that our lovely peaceful valley is even more peaceful at the moment due to there only being one way in and one way out.

What better opportunity than come and pay us a visit for that extra peace and tranquility. There are many opportunities available.

The landslip caused a vertical drop to open up immediately next to the road, between Llanthony and Cwmyoy.

So Now we Know! -
The report is published and the decision will be going forward to Cabinet on the 30th.
Griffiths are primed to commence works on the 7th April.
I have reiterated many times that this road is under full closure and for safety reasons this remains the highway authority position.

Here is the latest - excerpts from our last email received yesterday :-
"we are doing our best to conclude land negotiations and the extents with the landowner."
"The contractor is primed and ready and can be mobilised and on site within two weeks.
Hopefully I will have something more substantial to update next week"

Please remember though at the moment it is still a Closed Road

Don't you think monmouthshire CC it is time you got your act together? 🤫 Here are just a couple of contradictory actions.
This is what they said in an email sent Feb 15 2026 20:17 :- "I am hopeful the diversion route will be fully signed this week." That is only 17 days ago !

The council is supposed to have a Web page readily accessible to all with up-to-date information on, again in an email from them :-"As explained we will keep the website updated" - This is a screenshot of it, take note the date it was last updated 🙄
