Famous for its royal warrant and its outstanding flavour, Royal Lochnagar whisky owes both to an incredible location. One mile from Balmoral Castle, it sits at the foot of the Cairngorm mountains, next to the crystal clear water of the Scarnock springs. ✨This month we'd like to introduce you to Kyle!✨

Kyle has worked here for the last two years; starting at the distillery as a Guide and progressing into a Lead Guide role!

His go to whisky? Right now it's our new Distillery Exclusive, but why limit yourself to just one choice!

Kyle recommends coming in and trying out our Warehouse Tasting Experience. Drawing four whiskies straight from the cask in our warehouse and enjoying them through a tutored tasting with one of our expert guides.

Today we celebrate Ian on his retirement; a true pillar of Royal Lochnagar after an incredible 40 years of dedication.

Since starting in April 1986, Ian has shared his vast knowledge and stories, supported the both Distillery and Visitor Centre teams, and always been ready to lend a helping hand.

Thank you, Ian, for everything you’ve given to the team and the distillery. You’ll be greatly missed - enjoy your well‑earned retirement! 💙👏
