We are pleased to introduce our third speakers for our networking event in Banff next week.

Lyndsay & Dean gave up their 9-5 careers to start Twistillery, a small craft gin distillery based on their also new small holding.

In short, we needed a change of pace, place and a plan. Not new jobs but our own business felt right. We’ve a passion for gin, beer and food, as well as the outdoors. We both like a challenge and we get bored easily. Twistillery was born from the idea that we could make gin but do so much more; our own botanicals, our own artwork for labels, our animals using the waste and a desire for a more in house, circular system. It’s a lot of graft but definitely never boring.

This event is taking place at Banff Castle on Tuesday 16th June from 13:30 - 15:30. Book your place at https://buff.ly/FtHaf9f!

Our second speaker for our upcoming networking event in Banff happening on Tuesday 16th June from 13:30 - 15:30 is Susanne Moessner!

Susanne is the co-founder of Annie’s German Bakery, an artisan business bringing traditional German baking to the North East of Scotland. Missing authentic German bread after moving to Scotland inspired her and her husband Emad to launch the business two years ago.

Starting from a shared kitchen at ONE SeedPod, the business has grown significantly and now operates from its own premises in Portlethen. With a team of two bakers, Annie’s German Bakery supplies customers through markets, online orders, and is now expanding into retail and wholesale.

We are delighted to introduce one of our speakers for our upcoming networking event in Banff happening on Tuesday 16th June from 13:30 - 15:30!

Laura Meredith is the co-founder of Bumble & Brae, a cosy café in the coastal village of Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire, inspired by community, home baking, and local produce. Alongside her husband Ed, she moved from Shropshire to Scotland to build a simpler life centred around family, their smallholding, and creating welcoming spaces for others to enjoy.

Alongside the café, Laura also runs Ryedaura, a family bookkeeping business, but her passion for food, hospitality, and bringing people together led naturally to the creation of Bumble & Brae.

If you would like to hear Laura's journey and meet other local businesses book your place at https://buff.ly/CY5RjGw
