Congratulations 👏 to the State of Wisconsin and the Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté on the launch of their new sister-state partnership!
The agreement was signed this week in Madison by Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Jérôme Durain, President of the Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
This partnership marks the beginning of new collaborations in strategic sectors, including agriculture, biohealth, culture, and education. It also marks Wisconsin’s first new sister-state partnership in 36 years.
This exciting momentum builds on the agreement signed in 2024 between the BioForward and the Agence Économique Régionale Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (AER BFC), followed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last September between the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and AER BFC.
Thanks to our Honorary Consul in Madison Nicolas Paris for his contribution to bringing the two regions closer together.
A promising new chapter in transatlantic cooperation! 🇺🇸🤝🇫🇷
