Archaeologists and researchers from the humanities tend to believe that their images are easy to comprehend. Look at this photo of a Neolithic grave, roughly 4.800 years old. Analysis shows "the tidy, systematic nature of the burial" and "suggests they were laid to rest with care". Norbert Hirschinger mentions: this image does not look like "care" but like chaos. Therefore it is difficult to understand. - Always ask someone from a different discipline: "What do you see on this image?", before using it in science communication.
