🇲🇹 Malta this week participated at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris 🇺🇳 in the 14th Session of the Subsidiary Committee to the Meeting of States Parties to the 1970 Convention, together with the 25th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in case of Illicit Appropriation (ICPRCP).
Malta was represented by Dr Jeanine Rizzo, Legal Advisor at the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage (SCH), and Mariah Zammit, Technical Attaché at the Permanent Delegation of Malta to UNESCO.
The meetings focused on strengthening international cooperation 🤝 in safeguarding cultural heritage 🏛️ and addressing the illicit trafficking and restitution of cultural property.
