Les beaux jours sont de retour au Petit Palais ! Dans ses tableaux, Károly Ferenczy fait du soleil un véritable protagoniste : la lumière est au cœur de son art. ☀️
Plusieurs œuvres sont très caractéristiques de cette période dite du « plein soleil », où le peintre s'attache à rendre l'intensité de la lumière estivale et à saisir l'harmonie entre ombre et clarté. Dans “Soirée d'été”, une jeune femme chapautée est attablée en plein air, baignée dans la douceur de la lumière de fin de journée. Ferenczy y traque l'instant fugace et capte de jolis reflets colorés sur sa peau, avec la nature toujours présente en toile de fond.

Several works are highly characteristic of this so-called "full sun" period, in which the painter strives to capture the intensity of summer light and to convey the harmony between shadow and brightness. In “Summer Evening”, a young woman wearing a hat sits at a table outdoors, bathed in the soft glow of the late afternoon light. Ferenczy pursues the fleeting moment, catching beautiful colourful reflections on her skin, with nature always present in the background.
