BANGLADESH DAY est un programme organisé par l’Inalco (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales), à Paris, avec le soutien et la collaboration de l’Ambassade du Bangladesh à Paris. Ce programme a aussi reçu le soutien de l’Ambassade de France au Bangladesh. Suite à la visite dans notre Institut de Monsieur le Ministre des Affaires étrangères du Bangladesh, M. i, le 23 Juin 2015, l’Inalco et l’Ambassade du Bangladesh en France ont décidé, sur la proposition de M. Philippe Benoît, professeur de bengali à l’Inalco, l’organisation d’une journée du Bangladesh à l’Inalco, le jeudi 31 Mars 2016, quelques jours après la célébration du 45ème anniversaire de l’indépendance du pays. Le but est de faire connaître en France le Bangladesh, pays encore méconnu, bien que les échanges économiques et culturels entre la France et le Bangladesh soient en développement constant. Le programme propose le matin quatre conférences dont le thème principal est le problème des migrations, thème de l’année 2015-16 à l’Inalco. L’après-midi suivront quatre conférences sur la littérature et les arts au Bangladesh. La journée se terminera par une soirée culturelle, avec des chants, récitations de poèmes et la projection d’un film documentaire en relation avec l’écologie, suite à la COP21 qui a eu lieu à Paris, en décembre 2015. Vous pouvez y amener toute personne intéressée par le Bangladesh et l’Asie du Sud.

BANGLADESH DAY is a program organised by Inalco (National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilisations), Paris, with the support and collaboration of Bangladesh Embassy in Paris. This programme is also supported by French Embassy in Bangladesh. In the aftermath of the visit to our Institute of His Excellency Bangladesh Foreign Minister, Mr Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali, on 23rd June 2015, Inalco and Bangladesh Embassy in Paris have decided, on the proposal of Dr Philippe Benoît, professor of Bengali language and literature at Inalco, the organisation of a Bangladesh Day at Inalco, on Thursday 31st March 2016, a few days after the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the independence of the country. The aim is to make Bangladesh known in France, because Bangladesh still remains unknown to French people, though the economic and cultural exchanges between France and Bangladesh are in constant progress. The Bangladesh Day programme proposes in the morning session four lectures whose main theme is migrations, theme of the academic year 2015-16 at Inalco. The afternoon session will consist in four lectures on art and literature in Bangladesh. The day will end with a cultural evening, including Bengali songs and poems and a documentary film on environmental issues, in reference to COP21 held in Paris, Decembre 2015. Bangladesh Day is an opened programme. No personal invitation is required. You can come with any person interested in Bangladesh and South Asia.

« বাংলাদেশ দিবস » প্যারিসে বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাসের সমর্থন ও সহযোগিতায় ইনাল্কো (প্রাচ্য ভাষা ও সভ্যতার ন্যাশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট)-এ আয়োজিত একটি অনুষ্ঠান। বাংলাদেশে ফ্রান্সের দূতাবাসও এই দিবসটিকে সমর্থন জানিয়েছে।
২৩শে জুন ২০১৫ ইং তারিখে বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রী জনাব আবুল হাসান মাহমুদ আলীর ইনাল্কো পরিদর্শনের পর, ইনাল্কোর বাংলা বিভাগের অধ্যাপক জনাব ফিলিপ বনোয়ার প্রস্তাবে ইনাল্কো ও বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস ফ্রান্স যৌথভাবে সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন বাংলাদেশের ৪৫তম স্বাধীনতা বার্ষিকী উদযাপনের কয়েক দিন পর, ৩১শে মার্চ ২০১৬ ইং তারিখে ইনাল্কোতে বাংলাদেশ দিবসের আয়োজন করার।
যদিও ফ্রান্স ও বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে অর্থনৈতিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক বিনিময়ের ক্রমাগত উন্নয়ন হচ্ছে, তবুও বাংলাদেশ ফরাসীদের কাছে অতি অপরিচিত। তাই এই দিবসটির মূল উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে ফ্রান্সের লোকজনের কাছে বাংলাদেশকে উপস্থাপন করা।
দিবসটির সকালের প্রোগ্রাম সূচিতে আছে চারটি বক্তৃতা যার মূল বিষয় হচ্ছে অভিবাসন, যেটি ইনাল্কোর ২০১৫-১৬ বর্তমান বছরের প্রধান আলোচনার বিষয়। আর বিকেলে থাকছে বাংলাদেশের শিল্পকলা ও সাহিত্যের ওপর আরো চারটি বক্তৃতা। একটি সাংস্কৃতিক সন্ধ্যার মধ্য দিয়েই প্রোগ্রামটির শেষ হবে। এই সাংস্কৃতিক সন্ধ্যায় থাকছে গান, কবিতা আবৃত্তি সঙ্গে বাস্তুসংস্থান সম্পর্কিত ও ডিসেম্বর ২০১৫ সালে প্যারিসে অনুষ্ঠিত COP21 সম্পর্কীয় একটি তথ্যচিত্র প্রদর্শনী।
এই প্রোগ্রামে আপনারা সবাই আমন্ত্রিত। প্রোগ্রামে যোগদান করতে কোনো ব্যক্তিগত আমন্ত্রনের প্রয়োজন নেই। বাংলাদেশ ও দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার প্রতি আগ্রহী যে কাউকে নিয়ে আপনি আসতে পারেন এই বাংলাদেশ দিবসে।

Ce documentaire, qu'a réalisé Hassan KHAN avec l’aide de M. Philippe Benoît, a été tourné en 2016.

Le résumé du documentaire :

▶ « Notre Langue » est un film documentaire sur la langue bengalie. Dans ce film, des professeurs et étudiants de bengali sont interrogés sur différents aspects de cette langue.

Dans un premier temps, l’origine de cette langue ainsi que les combats pour son existence sont abordés.
Le film évoque ensuite la place du bengali dans le monde, son enseignement à l’Inalco. Certaines personnes abordent leur découverte aventureuse de cette langue et la diversité qu’elle renferme.
Dans la dernière partie du film, les étudiants donnent leurs avis : raison d’apprendre le bengali, ce qu’ils pensent de cette langue, de son enseignement à l’Inalco, de leurs difficultés, etc.

বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা দিবস যা ২৬শে মার্চ হিসেবেও পরিচিত। ১৯৭২ সালের ২২ জানুয়ারি প্রকাশিত এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে এই দিনটিকে বাংলাদেশে জাতীয় দিবস হিসেবে উদযাপন করা হয় এবং সরকারিভাবে এ দিনটিতে ছুটি ঘোষণা করা হয়। ১৯৭১ সালের এই দিনে তৎকালীন পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের জনগণ আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে নিজেদের স্বাধীনতার সংগ্রাম শুরু করে। এই দিনে জিয়াউর রহমান বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের পক্ষে চট্টগ্রামের কালুরঘাট বেতার কেন্দ্র থেকে বাংলাদেশের আপামর জনসাধারণের উদ্দেশ্যে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে স্বাধীনতাযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণের ডাক দেন। বিভিন্ন বই-পুস্তকে এই তথ্য থাকলেও এই তথ্যের ব্যাপারে মতবিরোধও দেখা যায়।

১৯৭১ সালের ২৫ মার্চ তৎকালীন পশ্চিম পাকিস্তান সরকার গভীর রাতে পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের (বর্তমান বাংলাদেশ) নিরীহ জনগণের উপর হামলা চালায়। ঢাকার বিভিন্ন স্থানে গোলাবর্ষণ করা হয়, অনেক স্থানে নারীদের উপর পাশবিক নির্যাতন চালানো হয় এবং অনেক স্থানে পরিকল্পিতভাবে হত্যাকান্ড চালানো হয়। এমতাবস্থায় বাঙালিদের দেয়ালে পিঠ ঠেকে যাওয়ার অবস্থা সৃষ্টি হয় এবং অনেক স্থানেই আনুষ্ঠানিক ঘোষণার অপেক্ষা না করেই অনেকে যুদ্ধের প্রস্তুতি নিতে শুরু করেন। পরবর্তিতে আনুষ্ঠানিক ঘোষণা পাবার পর আপামর বাঙালি জনতা পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানী জান্তার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধে ঝাপিয়ে পড়ে এবং দীর্ঘ ৯ মাস রক্তক্ষয়ী যুদ্ধের মাধ্যমে পূর্ব পাকিস্তান স্বাধীন করে বাংলাদেশের অভ্যুদয় ঘটায়।

Independence Day of Bangladesh - 26 mars 1971

Once after the 1970 Pakistan Elections, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman linguistically and culturally of Bangla background, then head of the largest political party of Pakistan, the Awami League, had won with a clear majority, the Pakistan establishment was not willing to hand over power or be led by Mujib. Negotiations began, but Sheikh Mujib's reputation was such that the ruling Punjabi leadership never trusted him, let alone by the Pakistan established, no matter Mujib's efforts. When all indications gradually surfaced crystal clear, promises given were not followed through, the whole nation of Bangla speaking Muslims and Hindus of East Pakistan dived into the spirit and vibe of a real struggle. Mujib was still determined to keep Pakistan united under his legitimate and legal claim and did not commit the nation politically for independence neither called upon the masses with such an endeavor. He, however delivered an emotion loaded angry speech as response filled with warnings of a struggle for independence, displaying his strength of political control over society. Out in the streets the reaction was boiling as another fighting spirit with independence aspirations was inciting outright struggle with his fiery speeches to huge crowds around the nation, Maulana Bhasani. Initially the Pakistan authorities called curfews, paved way for huge influx of military hardware and personnel from western Pakistan by sea and air. Pakistan authorities also blocked supplies going to the general population. Killings and destruction of property was on a climatic rise around the main port cities of Khulna and Chittagong and other important economic points of trade and education. Police and the military units were deployed in numerous areas of the country. Pakistan Urdu and Punjabi speaking personnel rounded up Bangla speaking armed forces officers, nco's and enlisted personnel. Forced disappearances went rampant. On the 25th of March evening in an interview with David Frost, Sheikh Mujib still called out openly for negotiation and a united Pakistan. That night the Pakistan army spilled out to the streets killing and destroying everything on sight. It was official, they were not ready for a peaceful transfer of political power to the Awami League led by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. During the early hours of 26th March1971 the independence of Bangladesh was declared from an unexpected and unknown patriot, and the guerilla struggle officially began. The people of then independence declared Bangladesh took part in this war to be a separate nation independent from Pakistan. Independence for Bangladesh was gained through a nine-month guerilla war against the Pakistan Army, and their collaborators (commonly known as Razakars in Bangla রাজাকার) which resulted in the loss of about 3 million lives. The Bangladesh Forces, later with military support from India, defeated the Pakistan Army ending the war on 16 December in the same year.

Independence Day is commonly associated with parades, political speeches, fairs, concerts, ceremonies and various other public and private events celebrating the history and traditions of Bangladesh. TV and radio stations broadcast special programs and patriotic songs in honor of the Independence Day. Generally, a thirty-one gun salute is conducted in the morning. The main streets are decorated with national flags. Different political parties and socioeconomic organizations undertake programs to mark the day in a befitting manner, including paying respects at Jatiyo Smriti Soudho, the national memorial at Savar near Dhaka.

Ce reportage traite également les relations internationales entre le Bangladesh et l'Inalco qui ont été consolidées avec la visite de Monsieur Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali à l'Inalco en présence de Madame Manuelle Franck, présidente de l'Inalco et Monsieur Philippe Benoît.

A small documentary in Bengali on Inalco and teaching Bengali at this University. This documentary also covers international relations between Bangladesh and Inalco which were consolidated with the visit of Mr. Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali Inalco attended by Mrs. Manuelle Franck, president of Inalco and Philippe Benoit, professor in charge of Bengali department at Inalco.

▶︎ Amader bhasha (« Notre Langue ») est un film documentaire sur la langue bengali. Dans ce film, des professeurs et étudiants de bengali sont interrogés sur différents aspects de cette langue. Dans un premier temps, l’histoire de la langue bengali et sa diversité sont présentées brièvement. Le film évoquera ensuite les combats pour l’existence de cette langue. Enfin, les étudiants et les enseignants donneront leurs avis : ce qu’ils pensent de cette langue, de son enseignement à l’Inalco, de ses difficultés, etc.
