Le Béage had a real treat for us tonight, a free show by a mesmerising group, Cocktail Flamenco.

Spanish sounds by some very talented musicians and dancers. The energy was amazing with a lead guitarist playing Spanish guitar that Santana would be proud of. The vocals, the keyboards, drums and bass were all brilliant, combining to make a fabulous show.

Last night our family went for a meal at Maison Vernet - Hôtel Beauséjour in Le Béage.

Every time we visit, we find the meal incredible for its taste and fantastic value for money.

From the amuse bouche right through to the dessert, we were all delighted with every part of the menu. The wine list has some exceptional choices at reasonable prices and for a non-alcoholic drink the Sirop de Foin is a beautifully refreshing beverage.
The Aubrac beef, raised by the family Vernet, is top class and cooked to perfection by the chef de cuisine, Céline Vernet.
We were introduced to a flavour which was new to us, Reine des prés, a subtle and beautifully presented dessert.

All in all, a highly recommended restaurant which should be at the top of your list to visit when on the plateau.

I noticed a carved wooden column has been added.
I think whoever goes to live there will be very content with life 🌅⛰️ 🍷

We will be welcoming guests to stay in our 16th century farmhouse from next year.

Le Pont was once an auberge which was host to travellers from all over France. The old road across the Ardeche plateau used to pass in front of the house and cross the river over a Roman bridge.

Furnished with antiques to retain authenticity, our rooms have all the modern comforts to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable.
