Today our 5th Graders celebrated the end of an incredible school year with a memorable day of fun and celebration! Students enjoyed a field trip to Flix, where they watched a movie and shared lunch courtesy of our amazing PTO. When they returned to campus, the excitement continued with a Glow Dance Party in the gym!

We are so thankful to our LCE PTO, Parent Volunteers, Staff and HEB for helping make this day so special for our students. Your generosity, support, and hard work created lasting memories for our 5th graders as they wrap up their elementary school journey.

Today we held our Memorial Day Parade and 5th Grade Clap Out to celebrate and congratulate our students on completing their elementary school years! 🇺🇸🎓

Our families went above and beyond creating amazing Memorial Day floats that made the parade truly unforgettable. We would also like to give a huge Thank You to the Medina Valley High School Drumline for leading our parade and helping make this event so special for our students and families. 🥁

Today we proudly welcomed the MVHS Class of 2026 Seniors and their families for our annual Senior Walk! 🎓🧡🖤

It was such a special moment watching them walk the halls of LaCoste Elementary one last time while our current LCE students lined the hallways cheering them on. We loved seeing so many former teachers come back to celebrate their students before graduation!

The Seniors also enjoyed hearing one last story from Mrs. Geurin, our librarian from their time at LCE, and had some fun reliving memories playing with the parachute in PE.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and wish each of them the very best in their future adventures!

This fun reward was a celebration of all their hard work, determination, and effort during state testing. We are so proud of our students for giving their best and showing perseverance throughout the testing season. Thank you to our staff for joining in on the fun and helping make it such a memorable day for our students! ❤️🤍🧡

Our GT Showcase was an amazing success, and we could not be more proud of our students!
Our GT students did a wonderful job presenting their projects and showcasing all of the hard work they have put in throughout the school year. Over the past several months, students researched topics, solved problems, designed creative projects, and prepared presentations that highlighted their creativity, innovation, and dedication. Throughout the process, our GT cluster teachers played an important role in supporting, guiding, and encouraging students while allowing them to take ownership of their learning and ideas. It was exciting to see our students’ confidence shine as they shared their projects with families, staff, and guests.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students and teachers during this special event. Your encouragement helped make the evening a memorable celebration of all our students accomplished this year!

All year long our 5th grade GT students, they have been working on their community problem-solving projects.

There were six elementary campuses in attendance, with each campus showcasing three projects, with a total of 18 projects presented. At the end of the presentations, only five recognitions were given across all campuses, and LaCoste students earned two of them!

Our Community Creations project received recognition for Best Presentation, and our Big Brother Little Sister project was honored with the recognition for Most Creative Idea.

Community Creations- Dylan Lopez, Charlotte Rodriguez, Jason Alvarez
Big Bro, Little Sis- John Biediger, Avery Fieber, Anson Boatright, Thorin Boos
No Devices, No Problem- Owen Hysell

Beyond the awards, what made their teachers the most proud was watching our students confidently present, explain how they identified real community needs, and share the solutions they designed to make a difference.

Way to go 5th Graders!!

We are so proud of our amazing 5th graders for representing LaCoste Elementary at the district track meet alongside the other MV elementary campuses!

Our students showed determination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and school pride throughout the day. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, and we could not be more proud of the effort they gave both on and off the track.
