We are so excited to recognize Ms. Gutierrez as Teacher of the Month and Ms. Haywood as Paraprofessional of the Month!

🌟 Ms. Gutierrez is a dependable and compassionate teacher who consistently goes above and beyond for both students and staff. She builds meaningful relationships with her students, approaches challenging situations with patience and professionalism, and creates an environment where students feel supported, understood, and capable of success. Her calm presence and positive attitude make a difference across our campus!

🌟 Ms. Haywood is an incredible support to our students, teachers, and campus. She is always willing to step in wherever she is needed and brings patience, kindness, flexibility, and a positive attitude to everything she does. Her dedication to supporting students, advocating for their needs, and helping them build confidence and independence makes her an invaluable part of our LCE family!

Both of these ladies make a tremendous impact on our students and staff every single day. We are incredibly grateful for all they do and are so proud to call them part of the LCE family!

Congratulations, Ms. Gutierrez and Ms. Haywood! We appreciate you more than you know!

🦇🐾 Learning About Bat & Animal Safety!
Our Cubs had a special visit today from presenters with Medina County Health Unit! Students learned important safety tips for staying safe around bats and other animals.
The presenters taught our Cubs three simple steps to remember if they encounter an animal they are unsure about:
🛑 STOP
🚶 MOVE AWAY
🗣️ TELL AN ADULT
Our students enjoyed learning how to make safe choices and what to do if they come across an animal that may be scared, hurt, or unfamiliar. A big thank-you to Ms. Mechler and the Medina County Health Unit for helping our Cubs learn how to stay safe! 🐾

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our first Coffee with the Principal this morning! We loved having the opportunity to connect, answer questions, and share important updates about our campus.

Mr. Vega, Ms. Bernard, and Mrs. Strawbridge spoke with families about PLC meetings, morning and afternoon traffic, class sizes, campus procedures, and volunteer opportunities.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing La Coste Elementary PTO for sponsoring breakfast and helping make this morning such a success! ❤️ We appreciate all you do to support our students, staff, and campus!

We look forward to continuing these conversations with our LCE families!

Our Cubs are putting their creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills to the test this week in STEAM Class!

3rd Grade: Students are harnessing the power of teamwork to transfer marbles between cups—but there’s a catch: their hands can’t touch the cups OR the marbles! Talk about a challenge!

5th Grade: Students are using the Engineering Design Process to create the tallest towers they can using just marshmallows and spaghetti!
