Early summer season at la maison – our favorite time of year.
Nature in full bloom, long evenings filled with light, and vibrant days filled with connection — with artists, friends, and family.
A time to get inspired, reflect, and create.
We’re ready for what this season will bring.

Through his distinctive technique, Geoffroy Pithon develops a deeply personal visual language. His vibrant, abstract works on paper draw viewers into vivid, fantastical landscapes: lush vegetation, animal-like shapes, underwater realms, and dense jungle textures converge in a celebration of nature’s energy.
Each piece captures fleeting impressions of the natural world — evoking wonder, emotional resonance, and perhaps even a spiritual connection to the creative act itself.

Geoffroy Pithon:
“At the frontier between art and design, my graphic experiments attempt to bring together and create non-traditional communication devices, sometimes abstract, often playful. Using hand and digital painting as a living language, my work draws on the methods of graphic design to artistically explore other disciplinary fields.”

Through this unique technique and approach, Geoffroy Pithon develops a personal visual language — one in which colours, forms, and figures move together like an energetic chorus.
His immersive abstract paper works invite viewers into vivid, fantastical landscapes. These works echo the aesthetics of nature: from lush vegetation and animal forms to underwater realms and dense jungle textures.
Pithon’s paintings offer fleeting impressions of the natural world, evoking a sense of wonder and emotional depth — and perhaps even a spiritual connection to the act of creation itself.

The works of Franziska Reinbothe exist at the intersection of painting and sculpture. Canvases are folded, sewn, cut, torn apart – and then reassembled.
What remains is the essence of painting: color, surface, body.
What emerges is a dialogue between vulnerability and strength.
We’re glad to present selected works by Franziska Reinbothe as part of our gallery program.

Solweig de Barry creates new worlds in her work. She gradually reduces her motifs, questioning their original boundaries and transience. By simplifying perspective, composition, and realism, she transforms shapes and lines into vibrant surfaces that capture personal moments in a new, immaterial way.

Artworks by JOHANNES MUNDINGER showcased in two different exhibitions last year.
His work, especially murals and installations, thematize the places for which the works are created. On the one hand, Mundinger
examines the historical or social context, on the other hand he plays with formal elements that the location dictates.
His works have been shown in numerous galleries and institutions, including the Freiburger Kunstverein, the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven and the Jewish Museum in Krakow. He has had major solo exhibitions at the Kunstverein Offenburg/Mittelbaden and the Yeoju Museum Korea. In 2013, he and Sophia Hirsch received the Berlin Kunstverein’s sponsorship award.
Johannes Mundinger lives and works in Berlin.

Artworks by FRANZISKA REINBOTHE showcased in two different exhibitions last year.
Franziska Reinbothe, born in Berlin in 1980, lives and works in Pretzsch and Berlin. As a visual artist, she develops various strategies for creating images, with her central question always being: “What actually happens when...?” In her painting she is particularly interested in what is usually hidden - the back of a picture and its edges. To make these visible, she compresses canvases, exposes stretcher frames or does without them altogether. She stretches, folds, breaks, cuts and sews her pictures after the painting process is finished. Some works protrude far into the room, others have already completely detached themselves from the wall.
