The orientation includes briefing historical background and overview of the library; Introducing library resource, service, rules and regulations; And live demonstration on using digital library, OPAC, e-resources and other service of the library. Students in jimma university main campus and college of agriculture and veternary medicine participated in the program

በጅማ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አብያተመፅሐፍት የ2017 ዓ. ም የስራ ሪፖርት እንዲሁም የ2018 ዘመን የስራ እቅድ እና የማነቃቂያ ፕሮግራም ተካሄደ።

በጅማ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አብያተመፅሐፍት ዳይሬክተር ወ/ሮ አዲስዓለም ጉሉማ አማካኝነት ከሁለት አመት በፊት የተጀመረው የአዲስ አመት የስራ ዘመን የማነቃቂያ ፕሮግራም ዛሬ መስከረም 29/2018 ዓ. ም ለሶስተኛ ጊዜ የቅርንጫፍ ቤተመፅሐፍ ሃላፊዎች፣ የቡድን መሪዎችና አስተባባሪዎች በተገኙበት በደማቅ ስነ-ስርዓት ተከናውኗል።
በፕሮግራሙ የክብር እንግዳ ሆነው የተገኙት የጅማ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አካዳሚክ ጉዳዩች ምክትል ፕሬዝዳንት ተወካይ ዶ/ር ተክሉ ገመቹ ባደረጉት የመክፈቻ ንግግርም በዩኒቨርሲቲው ጥናትና ምርምር ሆነ ባጠቃላይ ለሚደረገው የመማር ማስተማር እንቅስቃሴ አብያተመፅሐፍቱ ትልቅ ሚና እንዳለው እና ሊበረታታ የሚገባው ክፍል እንደሆነ ገልፀዋል። አያይዘውም እንደዚህ አይነት የማነቃቂያ እና መገማገሚያ መድረክ መለመድ ያለበት እና ቀጣይነት እንዲኖረው ሊበረታታ ሚገባው መሆኑን ገልፀው ቢሮዋቸው በአስፈላጊ ቦታ ሁሉ ከአብያተመፅሐፍቱ ጋር በትብብር እንደሚሰራ አስረድተዋል።
በመቀጠልም የአብያተመፅሐፍቱ ዳይሬክተር በሆኑት ወ/ሮ አዲስዓለም ጉሉማ የ2017ዓ. ም የስራ ሪፓርት እና የ2018 ዓ. ም የስራ እቅድ የቀረበ ሲሆን በቀረበው እቅድ እና ሪፓርት ላይ ለተነሱ ጥያቄና አስተያየቶች ምላሽና ማብራሪያ ተሰጥቶ ተጠናቋል።

Jimma university library system donated around 1289 books to Jimma university community school library. The books covered various subject area and will be used by kindergarten, primary and secondary school students

Adigrat university library staff members visited and share experience of jimma university library system. The visit include digital library, institutional repository, technical service, branch libraries and the over all work flow of the university library system. At the end of their visit, the members apreciated the work and adminstration of jimma university library system
