Bere Har – Where Silk is Born ✨🌿
Handmade Ethiopian Silk from farm to fashion
Tucked away in Ethiopia’s green highlands, Bere Har is a little place with a big gift—it grows silk. Real, soft, shimmering silk that starts with something as simple as a mulberry leaf.
Here, people practice sericulture—basically, raising silkworms and letting them do their magic. The worms munch on fresh mulberry leaves, spin their cocoons, and inside those cocoons is the finest thread you can imagine. It’s a slow, careful process… but that’s what makes it special.
From those tiny threads, we weave fabrics that are light, breathable, and beautiful. Every piece carries the hands and heart of the people who made it. It’s not just fabric—it’s a piece of nature, a piece of tradition, and a reminder that the best things take time.
Bere Har silk isn’t mass-produced. It’s grown. It’s cared for. And when you wear it, you carry a little bit of Ethiopia’s beauty with you.
