Recognition Program for Former Leaders and Welcoming New Leaders 🌟
AaBET Hospital, Affiliate of SPHMMC, proudly held a special program on the 3rd Floor Terrace to honor and recognize the previous management members and service area leaders who have served the hospital with dedication over the years.
The program opened with an inspiring speech by Dr. Tsegay G/Anania, CEO of AaBET Hospital, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the former leaders for their tireless contributions, day and night:
- Dr. Hanania Djimbay, CEO (2015–2018 E.C.)
- Dr. W/Senbete Waganew, Medical Director (2015–2018 E.C.)
- Sr Nigst Bekele Vice Nurse Director and other positions (since establishment of AaBET)
- Alongside various case team leaders and committee members who played a vital role in the hospital’s growth.
🎖️ Certificates of Recognition and gifts were then awarded to the former CEO, Medical Director, Vice Nurse Director, case team leaders, and committee members in appreciation of their many years of service. This recognition was conducted as part of the Ministry of Health and Civil Service Reform, marking the transition to new leadership.
💬 Several leaders shared their reflections:
- Sr. Nigist Bekele, former Vice Nurse Director, expressed that this was a special day for her, thanking the hospital for recognizing her contributions.
- Dr. W/Senbete Waganew, former Medical Director, emphasized: “Leadership is hard, but it requires teamwork it needs openness and patience . We are always with you.”
- Dr. Hanania Djimbay, former CEO, appreciated the current leadership and pledged his continued support, affirming his readiness to contribute in any way to help AaBET Hospital.
- Committee members also shared their heartfelt gratitude and reflections.
🔑 In his concluding speech, Dr. Tsegay G/Anania thanked all the former leaders for their invaluable contributions, affirming that they remain part of AaBET’s journey. He also welcomed the newly assigned leaders, stressing that:
- Responsibility and accountability are central to leadership.
- Teamwork, open discussion, and proactive action are mandatory.
- Every staff member is competent, equal, and capable of contributing to the hospital’s mission.
✨ Importantly, this program marks the first recognition event of its kind at AaBET Hospital.
It will not stop with leaders alone, but will continue as a culture of staff recognition for best performers, strengthening unity, motivation, and excellence across the institution.
