🤝 A Commitment with the Community, Always
Last Friday, following the outbreak of a wildfire in the Serra–El Garbí area, the Vicente Huerta Aerodrome immediately activated its collaboration protocols with the Emergency Coordination Center of the Valencian Regional Government.
Although we currently do not have a firefighting contract with the regional government, we made our facilities and ground crew available to the firefighting services from the very beginning, with a clear goal: to help protect the region and support those working on the front lines against the fire.
During the emergency, the airfield served as a strategic water-loading point for aircraft, helping to optimize response times and facilitating aerial operations until the fire was brought under control.
📍 4 water loads were provided to two aircraft, supplying approximately 10,748 liters directly to the planes during a critical phase of the operation.
We would like to thank GVA Emergency Services for their coordination, the crews for their work, the firefighting teams, and everyone who participated in the rapid response. In emergency situations, collaboration between government agencies, operators, and available infrastructure is essential. From here, we will remain ready to contribute whenever necessary.
Because protecting our environment also means being there when the community needs us.

El pasado viernes, con motivo del incendio forestal declarado en la zona de Serra – El Garbí, el Aeródromo Vicente Huerta activó de forma inmediata sus protocolos de colaboración con el Centro de Coordinación de Emergencias de la Generalitat Valenciana.
Aunque actualmente no contamos con contrato de incendios en la comunidad, pusimos nuestras instalaciones y a nuestro personal de tierra a disposición de los servicios de extinción desde el primer momento, con un objetivo claro: ayudar a proteger el territorio y apoyar a quienes trabajan en primera línea contra el fuego.
Durante la emergencia, el aeródromo sirvió como punto estratégico de carga de agua para las aeronaves, contribuyendo a optimizar los tiempos de respuesta y facilitando las operaciones aéreas hasta la estabilización del incendio.
📍 Se realizaron 4 cargas de agua a dos aeronaves, suministrando unos 10.748 litros directamente a los aviones en un periodo clave de la intervención.
Queremos agradecer la coordinación de Emergencias GVA, el trabajo de las tripulaciones, los equipos de extinción y todas las personas que participaron en la rápida respuesta. En situaciones de emergencia, la colaboración entre administraciones, operadores e infraestructuras disponibles es esencial. Desde aquí, seguiremos comprometidos.
Porque proteger nuestro entorno también significa estar disponibles cuando la comunidad lo necesita.
