🚚⚡ For delivery fleet electrification, what is most often underestimated in a charging project?
With SIL Barcelona taking place this week, it’s a good moment to reflect on how logistics operators are approaching fleet electrification.
In many projects, the conversation still starts with charger power. But in real logistics operations, charging infrastructure is not just about hardware.
Performance depends on how well the entire ecosystem is designed:
✔️ Site power availability
✔️ Dynamic Load Management (DLM)
✔️ Operational visibility and data
✔️ Monitoring and supervision tools
✔️ Service strategy and scalability
Without the right tools, such as COSMOS, it becomes harder to maintain control, optimise performance and detect issues before they affect operations.
And in critical logistics environments, service is not secondary. Preventive maintenance, remote monitoring and fast response times can directly impact uptime and business continuity.
So, in your opinion, what is most often underestimated in fleet charging projects?
- Site power & load profile
- Operational visibility & data
- Service response & maintenance
- Scalability for fleet growth
