More than 200 people attended our A Lunar Life Blue Moon Ceremony on Sunday VanLife Festival the second of the day after another ceremony at the exact point of Blue Moon fullness that morning Conscious Camp Community with thanks to Lisa & Daniel LAD vloggers for capturing these images and Cass , Chris and Ellie for the beautifully angelic didge, gong and shrutibox elements of the ceremony 💙

It’s this morning! At 9.45am today Sunday 31st May it is the exact point of the Full Blue Moon. At 10am in Conscious Camp Community it’s the A Lunar Life workshop followed by an extra special Blue Moon Blessing Ceremony and later at VanLife Festival lock-in it’s the fireside Lunar Life Blue Moon Gathering

Blue Moons:
Nowadays this term is used when 2 Full Moons fall within one calendar month. It happens this May with a full moon on 1st May and again on 31st. When humans followed the Lunar calendar ( for most of our long existence) we divided our time according to Mother Moon so leap years, months confusingly having 28,29,30 or 31 days and leap years weren’t needed!
The moon will look her normal pale gold colour during a Blue Moon it doesn’t actually turn blue .
Blue tinged moons sometimes occur, at no particular time, but because atmospheric pollution after volcanic eruptions or forest fires filter her light 🌑
