Today, I met yet another client who initially sought Attendance Allowance through a UK online service.

They paid €450 upfront but received no help after their AA application was rejected.

Before using any service when applying for welfare benefits, it's always best to confirm that they also provide a comprehensive problem solving service, including knowledge of the appeals process.

Also, you shouldn't have to shoulder all the risk of applying by paying the entire fee in advance.

This same client then also asked a local charity for support but was turned down.
