With many people with disabilities in the EU still living in institutions, funding and organisational changes are needed. This will support people with disabilities to live independently.
At the conference, FRA will explore and different aspects of the move away from institutions towards independent and community living. We will help guide policy makers to ensure the UN right to is fully implemented across the EU.

The FRA provides the EU institutions and Member States with independent, evidence-based advice on fundamental rights. The aim is to contribute towards ensuring full respect for fundamental rights across the EU.

We have now launched a bursary programme for service users to attend this year's conference in Seville. It will cover travel and accommodation to next month's event which is attended by 500 leading social services professionals from across Europe.
Demand is expected to be high so apply now as decisions will be made on a rolling basis with the deadline for applications Friday April 20.
