เมื่อวันที่ 11 มิถุนายน 2569 นางสาวสุภามาศ ยุนยะสิทธิ์ อุปทูต พร้อมกับข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมาดริด ได้เดินทางไปร่วมให้กำลังใจแก่นักกีฬาวีลแชร์บาสเกตบอลหญิงทีมชาติไทย ในการแข่งขันคัดเลือกสู่ศึกชิงแชมป์โลก รายการ IWBF Women’s Repechage Tournament 2026 รอบแบ่งกลุ่ม ณ สนามกีฬา Palacio Multiusos เมือง Guadalajara ประเทศสเปน โดยถึงแม้ทีมชาติไทยจะไม่สามารถผ่านเข้ารอบถัดไปอย่างน่าเสียดาย แต่นักกีฬาทีมชาติไทยทุกคนได้แสดงความมุ่งมั่นและศักยภาพได้อย่างน่าประทับใจ ทั้งทักษะการเลี้ยงลูกบอล การทำประตู ความแข็งแรงของร่างกาย และการทำงานร่วมกันเป็นทีม ซึ่งสร้างความภาคภูมิใจและแรงบันดาลใจในการสนับสนุนกีฬาประเภทนี้ในประเทศไทยต่อไป
On 11 June 2026, Ms. Supamas Yunyasit, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., together with officials and staffs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, travelled to support Thailand’s women’s national wheelchair basketball team during the group stage of the IWBF Women’s Repechage Tournament 2026, a qualifying tournament for the World Championship, held at Palacio Multiusos in Guadalajara, Spain.
Although Thailand unfortunately did not advance to the next round, all Thai national team athletes demonstrated remarkable determination and potential, including their ball-handling skills, scoring ability, physical strength, and teamwork. Their performance brought pride and inspiration to further support the development of this sport in Thailand.
