Once again, we have learnt that a vacancy for a 🧹 Street Cleaning Assistant is being filled under the Local Employment Plan.

At Avanza Comares, we wonder why this type of vacancy 🚫 is NOT advertised IN ADVANCE to the public through the Council’s usual channels (social media, the municipal website, the online portal or the noticeboard).

🤔 Many people are unaware that, in order to be eligible for certain vacancies managed through the SAE, they must be registered with the relevant occupation code before the vacancy is processed.

📌 Providing advance notice does not change the selection procedure, but it does allow any resident who meets the requirements to update their job application and have the same chances of being considered.

🇪🇦 CORPUS CHRISTI EN COMARES 🌾🌸

Hoy Comares ha vuelto a vestirse de tradición, fe y convivencia para celebrar el Corpus Christi.
Como cada año, nuestros vecinos han engalanado calles y rincones con cañas, flores y preciosos altares levantados a las puertas de sus casas, manteniendo viva una costumbre que forma parte de nuestra identidad y que pasa de generación en generación.

Cada detalle, cada flor y cada altar reflejan el cariño, el esfuerzo y el respeto con el que nuestro pueblo conserva sus tradiciones.

Además, queremos dedicar una mención muy especial a Melany, que hoy ha recibido su Primera Comunión, un día lleno de emoción que quedará para siempre en su recuerdo. ¡Enhorabuena, Melany, y que disfrutes mucho de este día tan especial junto a tu familia y amigos! 🤍

Today, Comares has once again been decked out in tradition, faith and community spirit to celebrate Corpus Christi.
As every year, our neighbours have decorated the streets and every corner with reeds, flowers and beautiful altars set up outside their homes, keeping alive a custom that is part of our identity and is passed down from generation to generation.

Every detail, every flower and every altar reflects the love, effort and respect with which our village preserves its traditions.

We’d also like to give a very special mention to Melany, who received her First Communion today – a day full of emotion that will remain in her memory forever. Congratulations, Melany, and we hope you enjoy this special day with your family and friends! 🤍

Thank you to everyone who has helped make such a beautiful day possible, proving once again that traditions are very much alive in Comares.

🇪🇦 💧🏛️ Así se encuentra el Lavadero de La Alquería, 8 meses después de su inauguración.

Una actuación que fue impulsada y gestionada por Avanza Comares, recuperando un espacio histórico que llevaba más de 40 años abandonado.

✅ Nosotros promovimos su reconstrucción.
✅ El actual equipo de gobierno ejecutó la obra.
❌ Y, apenas ocho meses después, el estado es el que muestran las imágenes: agua estancada, suciedad, verdín, y maleza alrededor, signo de una evidente falta de mantenimiento.

Recuperar el patrimonio es importante, pero mantenerlo también. Porque de poco sirve invertir dinero público en recuperar un espacio si después se deja abandonar de nuevo.

🇬🇧 💧🏛️ This is the state of the Lavadero de La Alquería, eight months after its opening.

A project that was initiated and managed by Avanza Comares, restoring a historic site that had been abandoned for over 40 years.

✅ We spearheaded its reconstruction.
✅ The current council carried out the work.
❌ And, barely eight months later, the state of the site is as shown in the images: stagnant water, dirt, moss and overgrown vegetation all around – signs of a clear lack of maintenance.

Restoring heritage is important, but so is maintaining it. Because there is little point in investing public money in restoring a space if it is then left to fall into disrepair again.

🇪🇦 📹 NUEVAS CÁMARAS EN COMARES: INFORMACIÓN Y TRANSPARENCIA

En los últimos meses se han instalado diversas cámaras en distintos puntos de nuestro municipio.

Según la información que ha trascendido, su finalidad estaría relacionada con el control del tráfico rodado. Sin embargo, hasta la fecha no se ha facilitado información pública detallada sobre estas instalaciones ni sobre el tratamiento de los datos que puedan captar.

Además, algunas de las cámaras se encuentran ubicadas en puntos donde, al menos aparentemente, podrían captar accesos a viviendas, establecimientos o zonas de uso privado, lo que hace aún más importante que exista información clara y transparente para la ciudadanía.

Los vecinos tienen derecho a conocer:

✅ ¿Qué tipo de cámaras se han instalado?

✅ ¿Se han obtenido las autorizaciones pertinentes?

✅ ¿Cuál es exactamente su finalidad?

✅ ¿Realizan únicamente lectura de matrículas o también captan imágenes generales del entorno?

✅ ¿Quién tiene acceso a las imágenes o datos obtenidos?

✅ ¿Dónde se almacenan?

✅ ¿Durante cuánto tiempo se conservan?

✅ ¿Qué medidas de protección de datos y garantías legales se han adoptado?

No se trata de cuestionar la utilidad de estas instalaciones, sino de garantizar la transparencia y ofrecer a la ciudadanía toda la información necesaria sobre un sistema que afecta a espacios públicos del municipio.

La seguridad y la protección de datos son perfectamente compatibles, pero ambas requieren información, transparencia y cumplimiento de la normativa.

Over the past few months, a number of cameras have been installed at various locations across our municipality.

According to the information that has emerged, their purpose is reportedly related to traffic control. However, to date, no detailed public information has been provided regarding these installations or the processing of any data they may capture.

Furthermore, some of the cameras are located in places where, at least apparently, they could capture entrances to homes, businesses or private areas, making it all the more important that clear and transparent information is provided to the public.

Residents have the right to know:

✅ What type of cameras have been installed?

✅ Have the relevant authorisations been obtained?

✅ What exactly is their purpose?

✅ Do they only read number plates or do they also capture general images of the surroundings?

✅ Who has access to the images or data obtained?

✅ Where are they stored?

✅ How long are they kept for?

✅ What data protection measures and legal safeguards have been put in place?

This is not about questioning the usefulness of these installations, but about ensuring transparency and providing the public with all the necessary information about a system that affects public spaces in the municipality.

Security and data protection are perfectly compatible, but both require information, transparency and compliance with regulations.

🇪🇦 🟢 LOS HECHOS PONEN CADA COSA EN SU SITIO

Durante meses se ha intentado sembrar dudas sobre determinadas decisiones tomadas durante el gobierno de Avanza Comares, llegando incluso a insinuar públicamente que la instalación de una cámara de seguridad en dependencias municipales respondía a motivos personales o de vigilancia hacia una trabajadora.

Hoy podemos informar con tranquilidad y con documentos sobre la mesa. 📄⚖️

El Consejo de Transparencia y Protección de Datos de Andalucía HA ARCHIVADO la reclamación que se presentó el 12/04/2024 contra el Ayuntamiento de Comares por dicha instalación.

La resolución deja claro que:

✅ La cámara se instaló por motivos de seguridad de personas, bienes e instalaciones municipales 🔐🏛️

✅ No se acredita que estuviera destinada al control laboral de ninguna persona.

✅ No enfocaba exclusivamente ningún puesto de trabajo, sino una zona general de atención al público: entrada al edificio, ventanilla, acceso a Policía Local, documentación municipal y zonas donde se manejaba efectivo. 👥📑

✅ No consta que se realizara ninguna grabación de sonido. 🔇

Desde Avanza Comares siempre hemos defendido lo mismo:

➡️ La gestión pública debe basarse en hechos, documentos y procedimientos.

➡️ Las decisiones de un Ayuntamiento deben analizarse con rigor, no utilizarse para generar sospechas o crear relatos alejados de la realidad.

La crítica política es legítima.
Convertir decisiones administrativas en acusaciones personales, no.

Seguiremos trabajando con transparencia, aportando información y dando explicaciones siempre que sea necesario. 💪💙

🇬🇧 🟢 THE FACTS SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT

For months, attempts have been made to cast doubt on certain decisions taken during the Avanza Comares administration, going so far as to publicly insinuate that the installation of a security camera in municipal premises was motivated by personal reasons or to monitor a female employee.

Today we can report with confidence, backed by the documents on the table. 📄⚖️

The Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection HAS DISMISSED the complaint lodged on 12/04/2024 against Comares Town Council regarding that installation.

The ruling makes it clear that:

✅ The camera was installed for the security of people, property and municipal facilities 🔐🏛️

✅ There is no evidence that it was intended for the monitoring of any individual’s work.

✅ It did not focus exclusively on any specific workstation, but rather on a general public service area: the building entrance, the service counter, access to the Local Police, municipal documentation and areas where cash was handled. 👥📑

✅ There is no record of any audio recording having been made. 🔇

At Avanza Comares, we have always stood by the same principles:

➡️ Public administration must be based on facts, documents and procedures.

➡️ A council’s decisions must be analysed rigorously, not used to generate suspicion or create narratives divorced from reality.

Political criticism is legitimate.
Turning administrative decisions into personal accusations is not.

We will continue to work transparently, providing information and giving explanations whenever necessary. 💪💙

🇪🇦 📹 COMPARTIMOS EL VÍDEO DEL PLENO EXTRAORDINARIO Y URGENTE CELEBRADO HOY 28/05/2026

🏛️ El pleno, convocado ayer con menos de 24 horas de antelación y celebrado hoy a las 12:00 h de la mañana, ha contado únicamente con la asistencia del mínimo legal de 3 de los 9 miembros de la Corporación.

📌 Los cuatro concejales de Avanza Comares no hemos podido asistir principalmente por motivos laborales, precisamente como consecuencia de una convocatoria precipitada y realizada en horario laboral de mañana.

❗Seguimos considerando que la urgencia de este pleno no estaba justificada.

1️⃣ El principal asunto del orden del día era la aprobación del Plan de Igualdad Municipal 2026-2030, un expediente iniciado el pasado 3 de febrero y que perfectamente podría haberse incluido en el Pleno ordinario celebrado el 29 de abril.

➡️ Y, en caso de que realmente hubiese existido necesidad de aprobarlo durante el mes de mayo, al menos podría haberse convocado el pleno con una antelación razonable y compatible con la conciliación laboral y familiar de concejales y vecinos.

⚠️ El resultado ha sido un pleno celebrado con la ausencia incluso de parte del propio Equipo de Gobierno.

📖 Además, llama la atención que el asunto más importante del pleno apenas haya sido explicado.

El alcalde se ha limitado a preguntar si se aprobaba el plan, sin exponer su contenido, sus objetivos ni las principales medidas incluidas en el mencionado documento.

🟣 ¿Qué es este Plan?
Es un documento que analiza la situación laboral interna del personal del Ayuntamiento (reparto de puestos, igualdad en condiciones laborales, conciliación, formación, etc.) y establece medidas para garantizar la igualdad de oportunidades entre hombres y mujeres, mejorar la conciliación y prevenir situaciones como el acoso. Es una hoja de ruta para hacer la gestión interna más justa entre los trabajadores.

2️⃣ 🎉 En cuanto a las fiestas locales de 2027, han quedado aprobadas:
📅 18 de enero (San Hilario de Poitiers).
📅 17 de mayo (San Isidro Labrador).

🕒 Desde Avanza Comares seguimos defendiendo que los asuntos ordinarios deben planificarse con tiempo, facilitar la participación de toda la Corporación y respetar el acuerdo existente de celebración de plenos en horario de tarde.

Porque la transparencia también consiste en explicar, organizar y facilitar la participación.

🇬🇧 📹 WE ARE SHARING THE VIDEO OF THE EXTRAORDINARY AND URGENT PLENARY SESSION HELD TODAY, 05/28/2026

🏛️ The session, called yesterday with less than 24 hours’ notice and held today at 12:00 p.m., was attended by only the legal minimum of 3 out of the 9 members of the City Council.

📌 The four council members from Avanza Comares were unable to attend, primarily due to work commitments, precisely because the meeting was called at short notice and scheduled during the morning work hours.

❗We continue to believe that the urgency of this session was not justified.

1️⃣ The main item on the agenda was the approval of the 2026-2030 Municipal Equality Plan, a process initiated on February 3 that could easily have been included in the regular session held on April 29.

➡️ And, if there had truly been a need to approve it during the month of May, the session could at least have been convened with reasonable advance notice, allowing council members and residents to balance work and family commitments.

⚠️ The result was a session held in the absence of even part of the governing team itself.

📖 Furthermore, it is striking that the most important item on the agenda was barely explained.

The mayor limited himself to asking whether the plan would be approved, without outlining its content, its objectives, or the main measures included in the document.

🟣 What is this Plan?
It is a document that analyzes the internal employment situation of City Hall staff (job distribution, equal working conditions, work-life balance, training, etc.) and establishes measures to ensure equal opportunities between men and women, improve work-life balance, and prevent situations such as harassment. It is a roadmap for making internal management fairer among employees.

2️⃣ 🎉 Regarding local holidays for 2027, the following have been approved:
📅 January 18 (Saint Hilary of Poitiers).
📅 May 17 (Saint Isidore the Farmer).

🕒 At Avanza Comares, we continue to advocate that routine matters should be planned well in advance, facilitate the participation of the entire Council, and respect the existing agreement to hold plenary sessions in the afternoon.

Because transparency also involves explaining, organizing, and facilitating participation.

🇪🇦 📢 PLENO EXTRAORDINARIO Y “URGENTE”… ¿DE VERDAD?

🏛️ El Ayuntamiento de Comares ha convocado un Pleno Extraordinario y Urgente mañana jueves a las 12:00 h, con menos de 24 horas de antelación.

📝 Los asuntos incluidos son:
🔹 Aprobación del Plan de Igualdad Municipal 2026-2030.
🔹 Aprobación de las Fiestas Locales 2027.

Desde Avanza Comares consideramos que ninguno de los dos asuntos justifica realmente esta convocatoria extraordinaria y urgente:

➡️ El Plan de Igualdad es un expediente iniciado el 3 de febrero de 2026 y perfectamente podría haberse incluido en el Pleno ordinario celebrado el pasado 29 de abril.

➡️ En cuanto a las fiestas locales de 2027, todavía existe más de un mes de plazo para su aprobación y comunicación a la Junta de Andalucía, tratándose además de un asunto que incluso podría tramitarse mediante otros mecanismos organizativos sin necesidad imperante de convocar un Pleno extraordinario.

📌 Pero además, este no es un caso aislado.

📅 En apenas cinco meses de 2026 ya llevamos tres Plenos Extraordinarios:
🔸 Uno por no haber tenido listo el Presupuesto para el Pleno ordinario del 28/01/2026.
🔸 Otro por no haber unificado en la sesión de 29/04/2026 el sorteo de miembros de las mesas para las elecciones al Parlamento de Andalucía.
🔸 Y ahora este, por no haber culminado a tiempo un expediente iniciado el 3 de febrero y que perfectamente podía haberse incluido en la sesión ordinaria del 29/04/2026.

⚠️ Mientras el equipo de gobierno habla de “planificación” y “transparencia”, la realidad es que vuelve a convocarse un pleno a mediodía y con muy poca antelación, dificultando la asistencia y conciliación de los concejales que trabajamos fuera del Ayuntamiento, así como la de muchos vecinos y vecinas interesados en seguir la vida municipal.

🕒 Todo ello, además, pese al acuerdo existente para la celebración de las sesiones plenarias en horario de tarde.

📍La urgencia no puede convertirse en la forma habitual de gestionar asuntos ordinarios que podían haberse organizado con tiempo.

Porque planificar no es correr a última hora.
✅ Planificar es precisamente evitar estas situaciones.

🇬🇧 📢 EXTRAORDINARY AND “URGENT” PLENARY SESSION… REALLY?

🏛️ Comares Town Council has called an Extraordinary and Urgent Plenary Session for tomorrow, Thursday, at 12:00 pm, with less than 24 hours’ notice.

📝 The items on the agenda are:
🔹 Approval of the 2026–2030 Municipal Equality Plan.
🔹 Approval of the 2027 Local Festivals.

At Avanza Comares, we believe that neither of these two items truly justifies this extraordinary and urgent meeting:

➡️ The Equality Plan is a process that began on 3 February 2026 and could easily have been included in the ordinary plenary session held on 29 April.

➡️ As for the 2027 local public holidays, there is still more than a month left before they need to be approved and notified to the Regional Government of Andalusia; moreover, this is a matter that could even be dealt with through other organisational mechanisms without the urgent need to convene an extraordinary plenary session.

📌 Furthermore, this is not an isolated case.

📅 In just five months of 2026, we have already had three extraordinary plenary sessions:
🔸 One because the Budget was not ready for the ordinary plenary session on 28/01/2026.
🔸 Another because the draw for polling station officials for the Andalusian Parliament elections had not been finalised at the session on 29 April 2026.
🔸 And now this one, because a case initiated on 3 February had not been completed in time, and could easily have been included in the ordinary session on 29 April 2026.

⚠️ Whilst the governing team talks of “planning” and “transparency”, the reality is that a plenary session is once again being convened at midday and at very short notice, making it difficult for councillors who work outside the Town Hall to attend and balance their commitments, as well as for many residents interested in following municipal affairs.

🕒 All this, moreover, despite the existing agreement to hold plenary sessions in the afternoon.

📍Urgency cannot become the standard way of managing routine matters that could have been organised in good time.

Because planning is not about rushing at the last minute.
✅ Planning is precisely about avoiding these situations.
