Gambas al ajillo, jamón ibérico, gildas, ensaladilla rusa… or are you saving room for crema catalana? 😄

These are just some of the dishes I serve during my Barcelona Like a Local evenings, with Spanish and Catalan wines paired along the way.

A new chapter for Barcelona Like a Local. ❤️

So many incredible evenings have happened on this balcony…great food, plenty of wine, new friendships and guests from all over the world sharing one table.

🥂Thank you to everyone who made it so special.

Now, it’s time for something new.

Barcelona Like a Local has moved into a beautiful Barcelona home filled with character. High ceilings, exposed brick, original details and our own intimate patio, in a fantastic central location just moments from Arc de Triomf.

It’s a different way to experience the city. Less about seeing Barcelona from above, and more about stepping inside it.

The heart of the experience stays exactly where it belongs: around the table. Great food, carefully paired wines, small groups, conversation and an evening that feels personal from the moment you arrive.

We welcomed our first guests here yesterday, and it already feels like the beginning of something really special. 🫶

It’s been amazing to see what Barcelona Like a Local has become over the past few months. 🫶

A huge thank you to everyone who has trusted me, joined me around the table, and taken the time to leave such lovely reviews.

What started as a simple idea…to create something more personal than another restaurant experience has turned into evenings with people from all over the world, sharing traditional food, local wine, Barcelona stories and great conversation. 🍷🌅

One of the things I love most is how naturally people connect here. Whether you’re traveling solo, visiting as a couple, or coming with friends, you’re always welcome at the table.

And this reel shows one of the little traditions we share along the way: Pa amb tomàquet 🍅, prepared from scratch, the Catalan way.

I have been meaning to say this for a while…THANK YOU

🥂 What started as a small idea around one table has slowly grown through recommendations, messages, reviews, and people simply telling other travellers about their evening with us.

Seeing these comments honestly means a lot. Different guests, different countries, different trips… but somehow the same feeling keeps coming back: good food, good wine, relaxed conversation, and people enjoying Barcelona together. 🍷🍅

🍅One of Catalonia’s simplest traditions… and one of the tastiest.

🤤 Pa amb tomàquet is something you’ll see prepared from scratch during the experience. Using ripe tomatoes, a traditional ceramic grater, Spanish extra virgin olive oil, and sea salt.

I’ll show you the local way of making it, and if you feel like giving it a try yourself, even better.

Simple ingredients, a little Catalan tradition, and the perfect start to an evening on the rooftop. 🌅🍷

Hi, I am David. 👋

I am the person behind Barcelona Like a Local.

Hospitality has been part of my life since I was a teenager. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in Michelin restaurants, co-found a bar, and learn from incredible people along the way.

Those experiences taught me that great hospitality is about creating an atmosphere where people can relax, connect, and enjoy an unforgettable evening.

That’s what inspired me to create Barcelona Like a Local.

I wanted to offer something more personal than a restaurant. an evening where travelers can enjoy authentic traditional food, rooftop sunsets, local flavors and great conversation.

When you join me for dinner, you are joining me in my home and my goal is simple: to make you feel welcome and give you one of your favorite memories from Barcelona.

I can’t wait to welcome you to my table. 🫶
