⚡ Can electric mobility support the transition of coal regions? Bulgaria's pilot is proving that it can.

🇧🇬 In Radnevo and Galabovo, the RuralMED Mobility pilot has already achieved encouraging early results:

🔌 98 charging sessions
⚡ 2,223 kWh delivered
🌱 More than 2 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided

Located in one of Bulgaria's coal-transition regions, the pilot shows that well-planned charging infrastructure can successfully support cleaner mobility in rural communities.

⚡ 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗩 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀? Croatia's pilot is already 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿.

🇭🇷 In Koprivnica-Križevci County, four public charging stations installed through Mobility have delivered 𝟵𝟭𝟰 𝗸𝗪𝗵 across 𝟰𝟵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in their first months of operation, avoiding an estimated 𝟭,𝟬𝟭𝟬 𝗸𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢₂ emissions (equivalent to around 540€ in fuel costs). And the demand continuing to grow 📈

🏥 Located at rural Health Centres, the pilot is showing that accessible, well-located charging infrastructure can support the transition to electric mobility beyond urban areas.

🤝 The project has also demonstrated an 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 with the collaboration between REA Sjever and Koprivničko-križevačka županija 🔝

🚗🇮🇹 The Mobility pilot in Comune di Suzzara has now 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝟮𝟯,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗸𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 through its shared electric mobility service! ⚡

📊 After eight months:
🔹 343 rentals
🔹 23,863 km travelled
🔹 Nearly 3 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided
🔹 More than 5,300 kWh of clean energy delivered

🔄 The pilot has also renewed its fleet with two new electric vehicles, ensuring the service continues to provide sustainable mobility for the local community.

📍 Day 2 of the Final Event

⚡ The 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 took place in Badajoz, bringing together public authorities, stakeholders, EV users and mobility experts 🚗

📊 Participants had the opportunity to discover the project's achievements, learn about the different 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 implemented across Mediterranean regions and explore the first results obtained so far.

🗣️ The event also featured contributions from public authorities and EV users, providing valuable perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of accelerating the transition towards cleaner mobility solutions.

🌍 After two years of cooperation, pilot testing and knowledge exchange, RuralMED Mobility is delivering a clear message: electric mobility is not only possible in rural areas — it is already 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 across Mediterranean regions.

📍 Day 1 of the Mobility Final Event has come to an end in Portalegre, Portugal 🇵🇹

🚗⚡ Partners visited the Portuguese pilot action and gathered for the 6th Steering Committee meeting to review project progress and discuss the first results emerging from the pilot actions across the Mediterranean.

🔝 The message is clear: thanks to the commitment and hard work of the consortium, RuralMED Mobility is delivering promising results and demonstrating that electric mobility solutions can successfully support rural and remote areas.

🤝 A great first day of exchange, cooperation and shared learning. Tomorrow, we continue in Badajoz for the Transnational Forum!
