Adeje Town Hall has renovated the crypt in Armeñime to bring its facilities up to date and provide suitable conditions for wakes and for families accompanying their loved ones who have died. The work also responds to a request from local residents.
The Adeje Mayor José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga highlighted the importance of the facility to the history of Armeñime and to the people who helped establish it.

🐾 At the CIAAD Adeje, dogs and cats are waiting for a second chance.
Behind every adoption is a great deal of daily work, including individual care, individual and group walks, veterinary care and behavioural support to ensure that each animal receives the right help.
Since the beginning of the year, around 40 dogs have been adopted, while almost 10 cats rescued from the streets have also been cared for. But there is still much more to do.

The University of La Laguna Tourism Degree, taught in person at the Southern Campus in Adeje, will open an extraordinary application period for the 2026 to 2027 academic year on 26 August. Applications can be submitted from 10:00 on Wednesday 26 August until 14:00 on Friday 28 August.

Adeje Town Hall has achieved a score of 9.91 out of 10 in the Canary Islands Transparency Index, known as ITCanarias, according to the final report issued on 27 July 2026 by the Canary Islands Transparency Commissioner. The assessment covers 2025 and places the Town Hall among the best-performing public bodies in the Canary Islands in terms of transparency. The Councillor for Good Governance Epifanio Díaz Hernández said that “this result reflects the Town Hall’s commitment to transparency and to the public’s right to access information”.

Adeje Town Hall, through its Education Department, headed by Councillor Coraima Afonso Navarro, is consolidating the Géiser Programme, The Power of Knowledge, as an education strategy that connects schools with municipal resources, services and facilities. During the 2025 to 2026 school year, the programme organised more than 50 activities involving around 4,000 students.
