The Progressive Student Association (PSA) was originally founded as UC Berkeley for Bernie (UCB4B). After the primary election, we reorganized ourselves as PSA in order to continue the political revolution at UC Berkeley. Within our first semester as PSA, our electoral and legislative accomplishments have included:
*Raising Berkeley's minimum wage to $15 and passing paid sick leave
*Electing Jesse Arreguin as Mayor (Bernie-endorsed)
*Electing Cheryl Davila, Ben Bartlett, and Sophie Hahn to City Council and securing the first progressive majority in 30 years
*Electing all four members of the CALI Rent Board Slate (Bernie-endorsed)
*Passing Measure U1 and defeating Measure DD to raise $4 million per year for new affordable housing
*Passing all other local ballot measures we endorsed
*Handing out thousands of our comprehensive student voter guides both on paper and online (in cooperation with CalSERVE Campus Mobilizers)
*Filing campaign finance charges against the Berkeley Property Owners Association (currently being investigated by the state ethics commission)
