الأهداف الاستراتيجية للوحدة:
1- اتخاذ الإجراءات الوقائية لتخفيف حدوث الأزمة.
2- التخطيط المسبق لمواجهة الأزمة وكيفية التعامل معها.
3- إعداد خطط ورسم سيناريوهات للتعامل مع الأزمات.
4- نشر الوعي الثقافي لإدارة الأزمات والكوارث وكيفية تنفيذ أعمال المواجهة والإغاثة الاستعداد للتعامل مع الأحداث بتقديم تدريب لاهالى المدينة بوضع محاكي للأزمة.
5- العمل على تحديث أجهزة الإنذار المبكر والرصد . The unit of

crisis and disaster is a multidisciplinary network of professionals who are committed to improving the support and intervention provided to victims before, during and in the aftermath of crisis situations. The Center works in collaboration with Relief Center and Red Crescent and Social Solidarity Directorate of Experts in Traumatic Stress, an organization comprised of a multidisciplinary network of professionals committed to the advancement of intervention for survivors of traumatic events. The unit of crisis and disaster aims to identify expertise among professionals, across disciplines, and provide meaningful standards for those who provide intervention before, during and in the aftermath of crisis situations and traumatic events. The mission of the unit of crisis and disaster for Crisis Management:

Increasing Awareness of the Impact of Traumatic Events and Crisis Situations on Human Functioning
Enabling Professionals to Look Beyond Physical and Safety Needs and also Address Emergent Psychological Needs
Improving the Quality of Support and Intervention
Establishing Meaningful Standards Among Professionals Across Disciplines
Providing Information and Training Opportunities through it’s Educational Resource Center and Premier Speakers Bureau
and Ultimately Assisting Victims to Become Survivors and then Thrivers
