من التمويل إلى الميدان: جايكا تتابع أعمال إنشاء مزرعة رياح رأس غارب

قام فريق جايكا من مكتب طوكيو ومكتب مصر بزيارة مشروع مزرعة رياح رأس غارب بقدرة 200 ميجاوات، والذي يتشارك في ملكيته كل من إنفينيتي باور ومصدر. وقد حصل المشروع على تمويل استثمارات القطاع الخاص من جايكا، كما يشارك في تمويله كل من البنك الأوروبي لإعادة الإعمار والتنمية (الشريك التنموي الرئيسي)، وبروباركو (Proparco)، وصندوق المناخ الأخضر.

تُعد مزرعة الرياح جزءًا من محور الطاقة ضمن برنامج "نُوَفِّي" (NWFE، محور العلاقة بين الطاقة والغذاء والماء)، الذي يهدف إلى الإسراع من أجندة مصر المناخية، كما ستسهم في تحقيق نسبة 42% من الطاقة المتجددة في مزيج الطاقة في مصر بحلول عام 2030، بما يتماشى مع استراتيجية الطاقة المستدامة المتكاملة.

يشمل المشروع إنشاء وتشغيل مزرعة رياح بقدرة 200 ميجاوات، بالإضافة إلى خطوط نقل ومحطات فرعية. حالياً بدأت أعمال الأساسات الخاصة بتركيب توربينات الرياح، ومن المخطط الانتهاء من المشروع بنهاية عام 2027.

تدعم جايكا قطاع الطاقة في مصر منذ سنوات طويلة، بما في ذلك تعزيز الطاقة المتجددة وكفاءة الطاقة.
From Finance to Field: JICA follows Construction of Ras Ghareb Wind Farm

JICA HQ and Egypt Office teams visited 200 MW Ras Ghareb Wind Farm jointly owned by Infinity Power and Masdar. The wind farm received JICA Private Sector Investment Finance (PSIF), and is co-financed by EBRD (as principal development partner), PROPARCO and the Green Climate Fund.
This wind farm is part of the Energy pillar of the NWFE Program (Nexus of Water, Food and Energy), which aims to accelerate Egypt's climate agenda, and will contribute to the target of achieving 42% of renewables in Egypt's energy mix by 2030, in line with the Integrated Sustainable Energy Strategy.
The project involves the construction and operation of a 200MW wind farm, transmission lines and substation facilities. Currently, it is in the stage of laying the foundations for the installation of wind turbines and is planned to be completed towards the end of 2027.
JICA has been supporting the energy sector in Egypt over long years including promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

A key milestone achieved 🎉— Arrival at the Port of Alexandria on 5 May

A major milestone has been reached in the JICA-supported Cairo Metro Line 4 Project with the arrival of the first metro train cars at the Port of Alexandria on 5 May.
The train cars were manufactured in Japan and transported to Egypt.

This marks the transition from manufacturing and international shipment to the next phase of on-site construction and system preparation, reflecting strong coordination among all parties involved.

The Cairo Metro Line 4 Project introduces Japanese railway technology to help improve urban mobility in Greater Cairo, reducing congestion while enhancing safety, reliability, and passenger comfort. Following the arrival at the port, the train parts will be transported to the workshop area for the line 4 (over an area of 75 feddans) to be assembled, tested and be ready for preparation for operation in the near future.
From Japan to Egypt, this milestone represents steady progress in Japan–Egypt cooperation and brings sustainable urban transportation one step closer to reality.

في إطار تعزيز التعاون وتبادل الخبرات مع الجانب الياباني، عقد السيد محمد عبد اللطيف، وزير التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني اجتماعًا، اليوم، مع وفد هيئة التعاون الدولي اليابانية (جايكا)، وذلك لبحث سبل الاستفادة من التجربة اليابانية في الارتقاء بجودة المنظومة التعليمية وتطوير نظم التعليم داخل المدارس المصرية اليابانية.

جاء ذلك بحضور الدكتور هاني هلال، الأمين العام للشراكة المصرية اليابانية للتعليم (EJEP)، ووفد هيئة JICA (جايكا) الذي يضم كل من الدكتور تاناكا شينشيرو، مستشار التعليم، والسيد إيبيساوا يو، الممثل الرئيسي لمكتب جايكا في مصر، والسيد يازاكي جينتارو، الممثل الأول عن الهيئة، والسيدة إيشينو ساياكو من إدارة التعليم بالمقر الرئيسي.

كما حضر اللقاء من جانب وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني السيدة نيفين حمودة، مستشار الوزير للعلاقات الاستراتيجية والمشرف على المدارس المصرية اليابانية، والدكتورة نيرمين النعماني، مستشار الوزير لشؤون جودة التعليم.

وأكد السيد الوزير محمد عبد اللطيف، خلال اللقاء، أن التعاون القائم بين وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني وهيئة التعاون الدولي اليابانية JICA (جايكا) يُعد ركيزة هامة في مسار تطوير التعليم، لما يتيحه من تبادل للخبرات، بما يسهم في تحسين جودة العملية التعليمية، وبناء نموذج تعليمي حديث يُلبي احتياجات الطلاب ويواكب متطلبات المستقبل.

وأشار الوزير إلى أن الوزارة تحرص على تعزيز التعاون بشكل كامل مع هيئة (جايكا) في تطوير المنظومة التعليمية، خاصة فيما يتعلق بتطبيق أفضل الممارسات التعليمية الدولية، بما ينعكس إيجابيًا على مستوى الطلاب.

واستعرض السيد الوزير محمد عبد اللطيف، خلال اللقاء، تفاصيل قصة نجاح المدارس المصرية اليابانية، والتي يبلغ عددها حاليًا 79 مدرسة، مؤكدًا أن الوزارة تستهدف مواصلة التوسع في أعداد المدارس المصرية اليابانية على مستوى الجمهورية.

وأشاد الوزير بالدور المحوري لأنشطة "التوكاتسو" في بناء شخصية الطالب المصري، وتعزيز مهاراته الحياتية والسلوكية، مؤكدًا أن التجربة أثبتت نجاحها في خلق بيئة تعليمية قائمة على التفاعل والمشاركة، وتنمية روح التعاون والانضباط لدى الطلاب، كما تفتح آفاقًا جديدة للنمو المهني أمام المعلمين، مؤكًدا أن النظام التعليمي للمدارس المصرية اليابانية يشهد تطورًا مستمرًا قائمًا على بناء كوادر تعليمية قوية، وتسعى الوزارة إلى التوسع في برامج تدريب المعلمين، خاصة دبلومة "التوكاتسو"، لرفع كفاءة المعلمين وتعزيز قدراتهم على تطبيق الأنشطة التربوية، بما يواكب التوسع في أعداد المدارس.

استعرضت هذه الجلسة اجتماعات الشركات الناشئة المصرية مع الشركات اليابانية على مدار أسبوع خلال معرض SusHi Tech Tokyo، وناقشت سبل بناء شراكات ناجحة. وأشاد المتحدثون باحترافية الشركات اليابانية ونهجها طويل المدى، مع التأكيد على أهمية التواصل الواضح، والمتابعة في الوقت المناسب، والفهم المتبادل لآليات العمل. كما أكدت الجلسة أن بناء الثقة سيكون عنصراً أساسياً لتعزيز التعاون المستقبلي بين الشركات الناشئة في مصر واليابان.

تعمل JICA بنشاط على تعزيز التعاون بين الشركات الناشئة المصرية والشركات اليابانية، وستواصل دعم نمو منظومة الشركات الناشئة في مصر.

On April 28, SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 was held with a large turnout and lively atmosphere. At the venue, Ms. Lamiaa from ITIDA, Egypt’s government agency for IT industry development, JICA Expert Mr. Fuwa, and startups from Egypt joined the panel discussions below.
Session 1: “Egypt × Japan: Co-Creating Scalable Tech Solutions for Emerging Markets”
(Speakers: Lamiaa El Rashidy (ITIDA), Shigeru Handa (AAIC), Moaaz Hossam (Rology), Ragy Ramadan Ahmed Shehata (NoorNation), Youssef Ahmed (Buguard))
Ms. Lamiaa from ITIDA introduced ITIDA and provided an overview of Egypt’s startup ecosystem. Egyptian startups then discussed Egypt’s position as a strategic gateway to both the GCC and African markets, highlighting its large domestic market, competitive cost base, and strong talent pool. They also emphasized the importance of trust and long-term relationships when working with Japanese companies.
Session 2: “Japan-Africa Startup Collaboration: Creating New Business Opportunities”
(Speakers: Nao Fuwa (JICA), Riki Yamauchi (Novastar Ventures), Rasha Rady (Chefaa), Lavender Otieno Birike (SURGIA/ Denta cart)
This session reflected on the Egyptian startups’ one-week meetings with Japanese companies during SusHi Tech Tokyo and discussed how to build successful partnerships. Speakers shared positive impressions of Japanese companies, including their professionalism and long-term mindset, while also stressing the need for clear communication, timely follow-up, and mutual understanding of business processes. The session highlighted that trust-building will be essential for future Egypt-Japan startup collaboration.
JICA is actively promoting collaboration between Egyptian startups and Japanese companies, and will continue supporting the growth of Egypt’s startup ecosystem.

SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 Kicked Off!

Following Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi strong message about driving innovation from Tokyo to the world, SushiTech has commenced, yesterday April 27th, and the venue is buzzing with startups and investors from across the globe.
At the Egypt Pavilion, funded by JICA under the Project Entrepreneurs Support and Innovation Promotion, Egyptian startups –with guidance from Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and JICA Expert– are actively connecting and holding meetings with Japanese companies and investors, sparking real conversations around potential collaboration in several areas.
His Excellency Ragui ElEtreby, the Egyptian Ambassador to Japan, has also stopped by to cheer on the startups, adding to the momentum for stronger Japan–Egypt ties.

في الجناح المصري، المموّل من هيئة التعاون الدولي اليابانية (جايكا) ضمن مشروعها دعم رواد الأعمال وتعزيز الابتكار، تعمل الشركات الناشئة المصرية بنشاط — وبدعم وإرشاد من هيئة تنمية صناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات (ITIDA) وخبير جايكا — لتكوين علاقات وعقد اجتماعات مع الشركات والمستثمرين اليابانيين، وبدأ نقاشات حقيقية حول فرص التعاون المحتملة في عدة مجالات.
