The strangest emergency alert Israel has ever issued.
Tens of thousands of bees swarmed the commercial center of Netivot, a city in southern Israel, on April 15, 2026. Videos showed massive swarms covering streets, parked cars, and shop fronts. Authorities urged residents and business owners not to approach the bees and to stay indoors until the situation could be contained.
Residents said they had never witnessed anything like it. The scale of the swarm was described as unprecedented for the area. No cause for the unusual behavior had been confirmed at the time of reporting.
