នៅព្រឹកថ្ងៃទី២២ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ វេលាម៉ោង ១០:៤០នាទី ផេកក្រុមអ្នកនាំពាក្យកងទ័ពជើងគោកថៃ បានចុះផ្សាយថា មានលឺស្នូរផ្ទុះអាវុធចំនួន ៥គ្រាប់ នៅតំបន់ភ្នំបាក់ ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងភូមិសាស្ត្រក្រុងសំរោង ខេត្តឧត្តរមានជ័យ និងបានចោទប្រកាន់មកលើកងកម្លាំងកម្ពុជាថាជាអ្នកបង្កហេតុខាងលើ។ ក្រសួងការពារជាតិកម្ពុជា ចាត់ទុកការផ្សព្វផ្សាយខាងលើថា ជាព័ត៌មានមិនពិត និងជាការមួលបង្កាច់ ក្នុងចេតនាបង្កការភាន់ច្រឡំ បំភាន់សាធារណមតិ និងបង្កភាពតានតឹងតាមបណ្តោយព្រំដែន។ ក្រសួងការពារជាតិកម្ពុជាមិនអាចទទួលយកបានឡើយចំពោះការផ្សព្វផ្សាយព័ត៌មានមិនពិតម្តងហើយម្តងទៀតពីសំណាក់យោធាថៃ និងប្រព័ន្ធផ្សព្វផ្សាយថៃ ដែលធ្វើឱ្យប៉ះពាល់ដល់កិត្តិយសកងយោធពលខេមរភូមិន្ទ ក៏ដូចជាធ្វើឱ្យប៉ះពាល់ដល់ជំនឿទុកចិត្តគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក។
អ្នកនាំពាក្យក្រសួងការពារជាតិ នៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា អំពាវនាវឱ្យភាគីថៃបញ្ឈប់ការចុះផ្សាយព័ត៌មានមួលបង្កាច់ទាំងនេះជាបន្ទាន់ ហើយត្រឡប់មកគោរព និងអនុវត្តឱ្យបានម៉ឺងម៉ាត់ ពេញលេញ និងដោយស្មោះត្រង់ សុចរិតនូវខ្លឹមសារនៃកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងទាំងឡាយដែលបានឯកភាពគ្នាកន្លងមក ជាពិសេសការអនុលោមតាមចំនុចទី៨ នៃសេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍រួមកាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៧ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ២០២៥ ស្តីពីការប្រឆាំងទៅនឹងព័ត៌មានក្លែងក្លាយ ដើម្បីកសាងជំនឿទុកចិត្តទៅវិញទៅមក និងបរិយាកាសអំណោយផលដល់ការដោះស្រាយជម្លោះដោយសន្តិវិធី ស្របតាមច្បាប់អន្តរជាតិ និងសន្ធិសញ្ញា និងកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងដែលមានស្រាប់រវាងប្រទេសទាំងពីរ។

H.E. Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, wishes to inform the public as well as members of national and international media as follows:
On the morning of May 22, 2026, at 10:40 AM, the Thai Army Spokesperson Team reported that five gunshots were heard in the Phnom Bak area of Samraong City, Oddar Meanchey Province, accusing Cambodian forces of instigating the incident. The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia categorically rejects this report, declaring it false and misleading information fabricated to incite confusion, mislead public opinion, and escalate tensions along the border. The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia cannot accept the repeated dissemination of groundless allegations by the Thai military and Thai media. These persistent fabrications not only defame the honor of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) but also severely undermine the mutual trust established through our bilateral mechanisms.
The Spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia calls upon the Thai side to immediately cease the dissemination of these slanderous reports and return to the strict, full, and faithful implementation of all existing frameworks. Most notably, we urge the Thai side to comply with Point 8 of the Joint Statement dated December 27, 2025, which explicitly mandates cooperation in combating fake news. Adhering to this commitment is essential to rebuilding mutual trust and fostering an environment conducive to the peaceful resolution of disputes, in strict accordance with international law and the treaties binding our two nations.
Taking this opportunity, the Royal Government and the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia reaffirm our firm, sincere, and unwavering commitment to fully and faithfully respect and implement the Joint Statement of the Third Special Meeting of the Cambodia–Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) on December 27, 2025, the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand on October 26, 2025, and all other relevant agreements. This commitment is made with the aim of ensuring rapid recovery and restoring normalcy, and long-lasting peace and stability.
The public, as well as national and international journalists, are hereby informed of the facts regarding this matter.
