CPT Silchuk relinquished command of Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment (HHD), 709th Military Police Detachment, to CPT Culata.

We thank CPT Silchuk for his dedicated leadership and service and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.

We are confident that CPT Culata will lead the detachment with distinction and continue building upon its tradition of excellence. We look forward to the accomplishments that lie ahead under his command.

The 709th MP Battalion Commander’s Cup 2026 brought together our geographically dispersed companies for an incredible day of competition, teamwork, and camaraderie. Families and troops stood side by side, showcasing not only athletic skill but the true spirit of unity that defines our battalion.
From intense matches to moments of laughter and encouragement, this event highlighted the strength of our community—on and off the field. No matter the distance between our companies, today proved that we are one team, one family.
Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship, and a big thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success.

THEE Guardian Detachment hosted the Battalion’s quarterly Warriors Leaders Academy at GTA.

Junior NCOs from across multiple organizations received mentorship and blocks of instruction from all 1SGs in the Battalion. During this week long course, NCOs received classes focused on preparing them for the challenges of leadership roles.

Topics included:

-Effective counseling
-Soldier quality of life
-Leadership dilemas
-Troop Leading Procedures
-NCOERs
-Roles and responsabilities of NCOs

In addition, these junior NCOs received briefs from BN SMEs covering personnel actions and maintenance.

Lastly, these junior NCOs had the opportunity to receive LPDs from senior leaders including CSM Friebe and LTC Smith.

These new NCOs are now trained and ready to tackle the challenges that come with their first leadership roles.

THEE Guardian Detachment celebrated our monthly ‘Wellness Day’ focused on providing sections an opportunity to break the routine and conduct morale/team building activities.

Soldiers and Leaders from the HQs, S-3, and S-6 sections took the opportunity to blow of some steam by playing some paintball and enjoying some time out of the office!

THEE Guardian Detachment hosted our yearly organizational day filled with good food and fun for Soldiers, friends, and families!

Sections faced off in a variety of events to include: dodgeball, a desserts competition, musical chairs, tug of war, and capture the flag.

The Guardians wrapped up the ORG day with a ‘pie in the face’ fundraiser that included senior leaders from the Detachment.

Congratulations to the S3 section for winning the ‘Section of the year’ trophy and to the NCOs for their ‘bragging rights™️’ victory against the officers!
