To give you an example of how long Ms. Gudrun Greisert has worked with the U.S. Military, the German band Nena had yet to write "99 Luftballons" ( “99 Red Balloons” in English) when Greisert first started in 1981. Both Ms. Greisert and her long time colleague Mr. Thomas Reisinger retired today at 's Baltic Sea Detachment. They both have more than 40 years of service for a combined total of 90 years. Lt. Col. Daniel Chandler, commander, 838th Transportation Battalion, Mr. Stepehen Lomeli, director, Baltic Sea Detachment along with past and present colleagues were in attendance to wish them a fond farewell.
