A gust of wind tossed Rudi’s fluffy hair on a recent visit to Hohenzollern Castle. The current castle was built in the 1800’s by Hohenzollern Crown Prince Frederick William IV of Prussia on top of Mount Hohenzollern.

Hohenzollern Castle is a monument to German Romanticism.

Guten Tag! (Good day!) I’d like to introduce myself and my royal little dog Rudi von Rothenburg.
This is an entrance to the 1000-year old medieval city where we live and send our letters from. It is completely surrounded by a stone wall and 42 watch towers. The streets are made of cobblestone and it’s like a real-life fairytale. I’m from the US and moved here 10 years ago. Rudi and I would love to have you join us. www.pretzelpost.de

Please I really need your opinions. After lots of thought, trial and error, I decided to name my mail club Pretzel Post but wondering if it was a mistake? I thought it was a short, catchy name with German connection but does it make you think it’s about bakery?

The heatwave finally broke here in Germany so we went out in the beautiful weather today and experienced life on a farm at the nearby Freiland Museum. Little Rudi saw baby geese, goats and some grumpy old cows. And he got behind the wheel of an old tractor!
