For the recruits of BCS BFA / Vers.Btl DF Brigade , an important milestone in their took place in Hartheim: their first
Away from the comfort of their usual permanent accommodation, the young soldiers had to apply and deepen the knowledge they had acquired so far under field conditions. In addition to living in the field, the main focus was on , , and personal responsibility.
They had to adapt to changing conditions and overcome challenges together as a group.
The bivouac gave the recruits the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and further strengthen their basic military skills. At the same time, it reinforced cohesion within the training unit, an essential foundation for the rest of their basic training.

Heartwarming Donation to the Children's and Family Hospice in Offenburg
The , led by Battalion Commander Jörn Deigner, handed over a donation to the Kinder- und Familienhospiz Offenburg.
The idea came from a personal conversation, the wife of a staff sergeant suggested supporting the hospice during a battalion dinner. What started as a simple suggestion quickly turned into a collective effort.
The hospice currently cares for around 165 families, about 500 people in total and relies almost entirely on donations and dedicated volunteers.
Hospice director Mrs. Garreis was deeply moved: “Without people like you, we couldn’t continue our work.”
A special touch, a handmade card with the hospice’s mascot (a turtle), drawn by the wife of one of the soldiers.
Oberstleutnant Deigner was visibly touched and emphasized that soldiers are also fathers, mothers and family members who stand for care, responsibility and solidarity.
A wonderful example of humanity and the start of a closer partnership between the Bundeswehr and the local community.

At the center of the 's stay at the training area were precision, coordination, and operational readiness. While the PzH 2000 self propelled howitzer and the MARS multiple rocket launcher demonstrated their capabilities in live fire, the KZO drone provided support through aerial reconnaissance.

Under this year’s motto „Role Models”, members of the Army were invited to nominate comrades who have distinguished themselves through exceptional commitment, exemplary conduct in the line of duty , or outstanding personal development. The objective of the “InFue-Challenge” (Innere Führung Wettbewerb) is to highlight positive examples of Inner Leadership in practice and to provide inspiration for daily service within the armed forces.

Twelve of the honorees attended in person to receive their awards by Generalleutnant Dr. Freuding. Among the recipients were three soldiers from the Franco-German Brigade: Major Philipp W. (Jägerbataillon 291), Oberleutnant Sanya S. (Deutsch-Französisches Versorgungsbataillon) , Oberstabsgefreiter Patrick S. (Jägerbataillon 291).

Concurrently, the “Day of our Values 2026” was observed throughout the entire German Army. The aim of this day was to engage deeply with the values and norms of our liberal democratic basic order.
