Theater Logistics Support Center Europe and Africa honors civilian employees.
Theater Logistics Support Center Europe and Africa's General Manager, Mr. Helmut Haufe, honored members of Maintenance Activity Vilseck (MAV) during their length of service award ceremony held in Vilseck Germany Nov. 18,2022. Mr. Hans-Jürgen Pirner, Director MAV, provided opening comments for the ceremony and welcomed family, guests and representatives from the local works council. Mr. Haufe and Mr. Pirner praised the workforce for their unrivaled experience, work ethic, and professionalism providing unparalleled maintenance support to the units in the USAG Bavaria, Stuttgart, and Ansbach footprints as well as providing forward deployed ADR support throughout the theater and to CONUS-based rotational units. Maintenance Activity Vilseck prides itself on innovation and modernization as one of the cornerstones in sustaining and improving unit readiness. MAV has been training entry-level employees in technical and administrative fields since 1998. This year's awardees included two former apprentices and two employees with over 40 years of service. Mr. Haufe presented the honorary certificates while Mr. Pirner provided the detailed account of the professional career of each awardee.
For 15 years of service: Martin Bauer, Regina Dürlich, Andreas Kraus, Martin Rupprecht, Roland Sollfrank and Benjamin Winkler. For 20 years of service: Dieter Köstler. For 35 years of service: Udo Meier and Martin Wismeth. For 40 years of service: Ernst Preissinger and Gerhard Krambs.
