DynamicOrgan® Load&Seal Kit at ELRIG Drug Discovery!

We are excited to present our new sealable, open-top biochip for integrating larger biological samples into perfused organ-on-chip systems.

Load first, seal afterwards, then perfuse: precision-cut tissue slices, biomaterials, non-flowable samples and large constructs can be placed directly into the accessible top cell culture chamber before it is closed with the bonding foil.

Once sealed, the top and bottom channels can be perfused at individual flow rates—or operated without flow, for example in an air–liquid interface setup.

Introducing the DynamicOrgan® Load&Seal Kit: A sealable, open-top biochip for integrating large biological samples into a perfused system

The Load&Seal biochip arrives with an open top and a separate bonding foil. Precision-cut tissue slices, biomaterials, non-flowable samples and large constructs can be placed directly in the top cell culture chamber before closing the system. After sealing the cell culture chamber, both the top and bottom channels can be perfused with individual flow rates or kept without flow, such as in an air-liquid interface setup.

Last week, Marty had the opportunity to present our technology at the Organ-on-Chip MasterClass organized by Innovations. During our commercial demonstration, participants had the opportunity to get to know our Organ-on-Chip platform and gain hands-on experience with it. It was a great event, filled with plenty of discussions and ideas for new applications. A big thank you to Hossein for hosting us!

In part 12 of Minds Behind Organ-on-Chip season 2, we continue our video interview series spotlighting researchers advancing MPS and organ-on-chip technologies.

For the last video of this season, we talked to Dr. Fatina Siwczak, Postdoc at the Institute for Veterinary Physiology at Leipzig University in Germany. Fatina introduced to her work on establishing a sebum-producing skin-on-chip model to better understand the metabolism, immunity and species-specific funcitionality of the sebaceous gland.
