IAMO Forum 2026 Starts Tomorrow in Halle (Saale).

How can new methods help us better understand today's agricultural and food systems? From climate change and food security to consumer behaviour and agricultural policy, researchers from around the world will come together at IAMO Forum 2026 to discuss innovative approaches to some of the most pressing challenges facing agriculture today.

Over the next three days, participants will explore new methods in agricultural economics, exchange ideas across disciplines, and discuss how research can contribute to addressing global challenges.

Wie wollen die Parteien die Zukunft ländlicher Räume in Sachsen-Anhalt gestalten – angesichts von Fachkräftemangel, Abwanderung und Strukturwandel?

Die Landtagswahl in Sachsen-Anhalt wird auch darüber mitentscheiden, wie sich Landwirtschaft, Fachkräftesicherung und Lebensqualität im ländlichen Raum entwickeln. Denn die Antworten auf zentrale Fragen unterscheiden sich deutlich:

Wie attraktiv bleibt das Leben auf dem Land?
Wie begegnen wir dem Fachkräftemangel?
Welche Rolle spielen Migration, Infrastruktur und Agrarpolitik?

Beim Agrardialog am 2. Juni am IAMO in Halle (Saale) schauen wir deshalb gezielt in die Parteiprogramme zur Landtagswahl Sachsen-Anhalt:
Welche Konzepte und politischen Leitbilder prägen die Zukunft der ländlichen Räume — und welche Auswirkungen hat das auf die Agrarlandschaft?

Den Auftakt macht ein Impuls von Dr. Antje Jantsch zu den agrarpolitischen Positionen der Parteienprogramme. Anschließend diskutieren wir gemeinsam mit Vertreter aus Landwirtschaft, Wissenschaft, Politik und Verbänden.

The securitisation of global (agricultural) is leading to less, not more reliability. The Policy Brief 50 shows that rising tensions, trade barriers, and concepts such as 'derisking' and 'friendshoring' risk undermining the resilience of trade. Instead, geopolitical stability, international , and are key to maintaining a strong and reliable trading system.
