1SG Bixler leading by example as the epitome of servant leadership again. With this he is showing the importance of deliberate recovery and how everyone in the company works together as a team to get the job done. Not shown here is that he also regularly cleans the company every week with the rest of the amazing Gladiators. We're lucky to have him!

Happy Friday, Nation!

You love to see it, we love hearing about it. Senior leadership helping out soldiers to get the job done to be able to send them home. Whether it’s power washing tents or wrapping up the inventory, leaders shouldn’t want to keep their soldiers late for no reason. We will never not be happy to see senior leaders putting in the time and effort with their soldiers to get the job done so we can all go home.

This feel Good Friday goes out to 1SG Bixler from 15th EN BN, 902D ECC who took the time to help his soldiers power wash the tents after the field. We all want to go home after training exercises and the quickest way to accomplish that is to lead by example and lend a hand.

Hammer Fury was a success for the 902d as a result of the incredible trainup of the platoons. We had the opportunity once again to show the high level of proficiency in survivability and counter-mobility operations.

2/902 "Ruthless" developed the engagement area and supporting battle positions with Apache Troop 1/2CR. Both sides learned a lot about how to work with each other as one. They worked 24 hours straight, through the night in full blackout conditions (no lights) to complete everything.

3/902 "Brute Force" went far above the requirements of a bunker to construct a bunker system with a trench connecting them. Their ability to plan ahead to pre cut the various lumber they needed to find made this dream a reality. They also worked through the night with only red lenses light covered by camo nets to reduce their light signature.

No operation is complete without the support side of the house and rhis was no different. Both the Headquarters (HQ) and Field Maintenance Team (FMT) were up and running 24 hours as well to provide sustainment to the line platoons. FMT pushed up to the location of need to quickly get equipment back up and into the fight. HQ ensured everyone had food, fuel, and the highest level of motivation and managed reports from the platoons up to the 15th Engineer Battalion.

The Gladiators returned to work from some much deserved leave to rest and recharge. Good thing because it didn't start easy as this was an extremely busy week with the 15th Engineer Battalion Best Warrior Competition. Luckily, 1SG Bixler had a squad challenge of our own to close out the week.

Each squad was given a water point in the motor pool along with two water jugs, a strand of 550 cord, a concrete block, and a pen. The task was to use what you had to fill six other water jugs over at the barracks, which is about a half mile away. This would have been easily accomplished in three trips but unfortunately the squads were not able to use covers on the jugs and lost enough water to force an additional trip for most of them.

Once all jugs were filled, the squads brought all of them back to the motor pool to start the next challenge. This was a game of memory as they had a set of legos at their station with a model of what it needed to look like at the other end of the motor pool with only one member getting to view it at a time. If assembled correctly, they were done. If not, they get a different model to try again. With only six sets available, the squads waiting got the opportunity to help with area beautification and cleaned up around the wood bin.

Great work by SSG Doaks and his squad for winning the challenge!

On Friday, 902D conducted a SHARP Awareness Day. Each squad spent the morning together discussing ways that Soldiers can prevent sexual harassment and assault. Each squad also created a barracks poster to remind others about the importance of SHARP. We believe that by spreading the word about SHARP, and making it a subject of our conversations, we can reduce the likelihood of our Soldiers becoming bystanders! Strength and Honor!

In these photos, the Gladiator team in Poland works on road improvements and construction focusing on solving drainage issues and installing turning pads for heavy, armored vehicles. These road networks directly support the FSSPs and allow wheeled traffic to access the fuel farms. Strength and Honor!

Two weeks ago, first and second platoon conducted joint training (with our survey team of Tangos) on ditching and trenching. This training sharpened our operators’ skills on Dozers, Ditch Witches, and Graders in order to better construct drainage necessary to most engineering projects. Strength and Honor! Drive On!
