Tri-Border Children's Holiday Party & Christmas Tree Lighting 🎄

Join us as we celebrate the holiday season with the entire Tri-Border community! This festive afternoon will be filled with snacks, fun activities, crafts, photos, and the annual Christmas tree lighting at Geilenkirchen. This is a free event!

Date: Friday, December 5th

Time: Party begins at 4:00 PM | Tree Lighting at 5:00 PM

Location: Mass Briefing Facility (bldg. #2) & Base Chapel (bldg. #3), Geilenkirchen Air Base

All NATO nations are invited to share a piece of their culture by hosting a booth that highlights a holiday tradition from their country! You can also sign up to volunteer and help make this event special for all of our families and children.

Whether you bring a dish, decorate a table, help with setup / teardown, or simply share some holiday cheer, your contribution makes a big difference!

This event is open to everyone with base access—let’s come together to celebrate friendship, family, and the joy of the season!

* Every Pint Counts: Your donation can save up to 3 lives within the military.

* Relaxed Eligibility: No more BSE "Mad Cow" disease restrictions for time in Europe/UK, and only 3-month wait for tattoos outside the U.S. or malaria-risk travel.

* Easy Access: Admin Leave is often authorized for Civilians & Local Nationals (with supervisor approval).

* Children 10 and up are welcome to attend with the donors. Children under 10 need to be supervised by an additional person 12 or older (not the blood donor), in accordance with the base Child Supervision Policy.

* Prepare for your donation: Rest, hydrate, and eat a hearty meal beforehand, especially with iron-rich food (fortified cereal, meat, fish, etc.).
